Destiny 2: Ghosts of the Deep cheese

Players can cheese Destiny 2’s Ghosts of the Deep bosses by using an Exotic Grenade Launcher, the Witherhoard.

In this first-person shooter video game, Destiny 2, players can explore a science fiction world to complete quests.

The latest season, Season of the Deep, introduced various new content, including a new dungeon, to the game. Ghosts of the Deep is an exciting activity, and some players want to know if they can cheese it.

A few days after the official Season of the Deep launch, players have found a way to procure multiple weapons and gear pieces with minimal effort. The latest cheese comes from the newest dungeon, Ghosts of the Deep.

This cheese can be used for both the Master difficulty and the normal mode of the dungeon. Although there are 2 modes, the cheese requires that players use a very specific Exotic Grenade Launcher.

The Witherhoard can be obtained from the Monument to Lost Lights terminal vendor  in the Tower near the Vault area.

This weapon costs approximately 1 Exotic Cipher, 100 000 Glimmer, 150 Legendary Shards and 1 Ascendant Shard.

Destiny 2 players need not worry about the Catalyst to begin the cheese; instead, you have to focus on the weapon’s Exotic Perks, which enables enemies hit by the weapon to take damage over time.

First Boss

You have to ensure that you have the Witherhoard for this encounter. When it is time, you have to kill the 4 praying Acolytes to summon Ecthar. All you have to do is shoot the boss with the Witherhoard and die.

After reviving, you will notice that the damage that previously came up as Immune will now deal damage. You can repeatedly re-apply the Witherhoard damage, but if you receive the Immune numbers again, you must die again.

Ads will spawn during the fight, so it is advisable that you clear out the ads before focusing on the boss.

Second Boss

Simmumah ur-Nokru is the easiest boss to defeat with the Witherhoard cheese as you simply have to shoot it with the weapon and not use a Finisher on Oryx’s Hive ghost shell.

This activates the boss room, which spawns countless ads and barrages of arc attacks from Simmumah ur-Nokru.

You should follow the same mechanic for this boss, meaning you have to attack the boss and die. Killing the boss with the Witherhoard takes around 20 minutes, depending on the weapon buffs that you acquired.

It is imperative that you find and destroy the wizard boss’ Hive Ghost Shell when Simmumah ur-Nokru falls to the fate of the Witherhoard. If you do not destroy the shell, the boss will respawn.

How to acquire Witherhoard Ammo

To get ammo for the Witherhoard, equip 2 special ammo weapons and keep their special Ammo and Heavy Ammo low. Every 30 seconds, you will receive 3 Special Ammo.

You will gain an infinite supply of Witherhoard ammo to keep doing damage over time if you keep your ammo reserves low.
