Counter: Side contains different currencies, one of which is Quartz, the premium currency of the game that can be acquired through various methods.
Players are invited to take on the role of a chief executive officer (CEO) of Kefen in this tactical mobile game, Counter: Side. The game is in a futuristic setting and features 2 worlds, 1 for humans and 1 for horrific creatures. In these dark times, it is your responsibility to defeat the enemies and to fight for the future of mankind.
As you advance in the game, you can acquire various characters, otherwise known as employees, who can help you clear stages and defeat enemies. Players can earn various rewards for successfully clearing a stage. These rewards can include resources and items, which they can use to influence their gameplay.
What are resources?
Similarly to other role-playing games (RPGs), Counter: Side features a range of resources and currencies, each of which serves a specific purpose in the game. Eternium is used to play the game, as almost every activity and gaming mode requires Eternium to work.
In light of this, players need this currency quite abundantly and the pace of their progression depends entirely on how much of this currency they have. Credit is quite similar to Gold in other RPG titles, and it is used to upgrade your employees, ships, and gear.
Credit can be used to purchase items from the in-game shop, however, some items can be extremely expensive.
Counter Side: Quartz
In addition to Credit and Eternium, you can also find Quartz, which is the premium currency in the game. It is available in large quantities during the early stages of the game, but it gets scarce as you advance in the game.
Quartz can be acquired by clearing the main story stages of the Operation mode, which can be found in the main menu of the game. You can also earn Quarts by completing the daily and weekly quests, or by participating in events.
Furthermore, you can acquire Quarts from freebies, monthly login rewards, or by purchasing them with real-life money. Quartz is primarily used to summon additional units, or to buy items and resources at the shop, though you can also use it to recharge Eternium.
All players receive approximately 1600 Quartz when they first start playing the game. This may seem like a lot, but the in-game shop sells very desirable items that you might be tempted to purchase with Quartz. The table below lists some of the items you can purchase with Quartz:
Item | In-game description | Price |
Lifetime Contract | All the necessary fields are already filled, they just need a signature. | 450 Quartz |
Defence Training Permit | A permit required to take the Defence Training. | 30 Quartz |
Gear Precision Package | A package that can help you tune your gear. | 790 Quartz |
Special Ship Schematics | Schematics containing core design information of ships. Collect several to build Class Supreme Rare and Super Supreme Rare ships. | 250 Quartz |
Summoning units with Quartz
As mentioned above, you will receive quite a lot of Quartz when you start playing the game. Players often lose the significance of this resource and use it all to summon their favourite employee in the Recruit system. It is advised that you do not use your Quartz to procure heroes, as it becomes very scarce as you advance in the game.
Instead, you can use it to recharge your Eternium, but only a few times as this can quickly drain your Quartz. You can purchase 200 Eternium for 50 Quartz as it is offered daily at a 50 percent discount. Alternatively, you can use your Quartz to increase your maximum employee storage as it gets full quite quickly.
Farming Quartz
By now you may know that you can earn Quartz by completing the main storyline of the game, as well as the daily and weekly quests. Before you enter a level in the Operation mode, you can view medals, and it is advised that you complete these medals as they have their own reward system. You also get Quartz once you have a certain number of medals.
Additionally, players can complete levels in the Supply Operation to get Quartz, among other rewards. Furthermore, you can progress in the Side Story and Free Contract gaming modes to procure the premium currency.
Quartz prices
It is worth noting that it is not mandatory to purchase Quartz with real-life money, which means that it is entirely your decision whether you want to buy any or not. Players have to purchase Admin Coins before they can purchase Quartz.
The table below highlights the Quartz packages and their prices:
Number of Quartz | Price |
50 | 50 Admin Coins |
150 | 150 Admin Coins |
500 | 500 Admin Coins |
1500 | 1425 Admin Coins |
4500 | 4050 Admin Coins |
