Diablo 4: Blue Rose

The Blue Rose in Diablo 4 is one of the more enticing unique items that players can acquire, especially for Ice Sorcerers.

Diablo 4 is an adventurous video game that invites players to explore the ghostly realm of Sanctuary.

To advance in the game, you have to master countless abilities, complete nightmarish dungeons and slaughter infinite demons.

Blue Rose

Blizzard, the game’s developer, recently released season 2 for players to enjoy. Although this new season focuses on vampires, it introduced various activities, new quests and 42 new Legendary items.

One of the new Legendary Items players can collect is the Blue Rose, but this ring can only be equipped by Sorcerers playing in the Seasonal Realm.

This item is one of the more alluring unique objects introduced with the new season, especially for Ice Sorcerers.

This is because the ring’s effects primarily pertain to ice skills and rely on freezing enemies.

The Blue Ring’s Lucky Hit description reads, “Damaging an enemy has up to a 30 percent chance of forming an exploding Ice Spike, which deals between 0.25 and 0.35 Cold Damage. However, it is triple the chance if the enemy is already frozen.”

Several players believe that the Blue Rose can change the way fights in Diablo 4 generally go due to its unique effect.

All Ice Sorcerers can cause havoc with waves of Ice Spikes which can easily kill all opponents in their path by simply farming and equipping this unique ring.

Optimizing your build

In order to fully harness the power of the Blue Rose, we recommend that you tailor your Sorcerer around cold damage.

The following table lists how you can adjust your character’s build to maximize the benefits that you receive from the Blue Rose:

Method Description
Cold-Focused Skills We recommend that you use Ice Bolt, Ice Spikes and Blizzard in your build. These abilities synchronize with the Blue Rose’s effects, which enhance your damage potential.
Freeze your enemies To benefit from the triple Lucky Hit chance, you have to use Ice Nova and Freezing Orb to freeze your enemies.
Accessorize for Cold Damage Players can equip complementary items like the Coldheart Amulet and the Frostburn Gloves to amplify their Cold damage output.

How to acquire the Blue Rose

In order to procure this ring, players have to be on at least World Tier 3. To unlock World Tier 3, you have to complete the main story of Diablo 4 as well as the Cathedral of Light Capstone Dungeon, which is in Kyovashad.

Although you can procure the ring on World Tier 3, we recommend that you rather play on World Tier 4 because your chances of earning the Blue Rose are higher in World Tier 4 than in World Tier 3.

Players should make sure that they are playing on the Seasonal Realm with a new character.

You can acquire the ring by completing dungeons or looting chests and caches. However, the best way to earn the Blue Rose is by vanquishing the King of Maggots, Duriel.

Duriel

As previously mentioned, the best way to accumulate the Blue Rose is by defeating the Echo of Duriel, which is one of the endgame bosses. To summon this boss, you need 2 Mucus-Slick Eggs and  2 Shards of Agony.

You can acquire the Eggs by defeating Varshan in World Tier 4 and the Shards can be obtained by vanquishing Grigoire.

When you have the necessary materials, you can go to the Gaping Crevasse dungeon where you have to place the materials in the altar.

Diablo 4 players then have to defeat the boss, but Duriel is not only the hardest boss to defeat, but he is also the most toxic. We therefore recommend that you craft several Elixirs of poison Resistance before starting the fight.

Can other classes also conquer Duriel?

Players should note that Duriel drops a variety of class-specific items. This means that even though you cannot wear the Blue Rose, there are other items that you can equip if you defeat Duriel.

The table below lists Duriel’s drops according to your class:
