Diablo 4: Gore Soaked Barricade

Players are experiencing a frustrating bug when trying to attack the Gore Soaked Barricade in Diablo 4’s Fury Against Fate quest.

Diablo IV is the fourth main installment in the well-renowned Diablo series. Players can create a character from one of 5 classes and use their skills to complete quests through combat.

Since the game was recently released, you may experience bugs, such as the one which appears at the Gore Soaked Barricade.

Diablo 4: Gore Soaked Barricade

In order to progress in Diablo IV, players must complete a variety of quests to gain experience points. One of these quests is Fury Against Fate, which requires that players enter the Wasting Hollow.

After listening to Ealda’s speech in the front of the cave, your next objective is to Clear the Cannibal Feeding Ground. However, you will notice that a Gore Soaked Barricade is preventing you from entering the feeding ground.

If the Gore Soaked Barricade is not attackable, the quest will progress as intended with the non-player-characters rushing towards the barricade, making it attackable, which will allow you to complete the quest.

However, if the barricade is attackable after talking to Ealda, the NPCs will not follow you and the quest cannot be finished.

This bug has frustrated many, players as the normal methods to resolve an in-game issue do not fix it.

How to resolve the Gore Soaked Barricade bug

Several Diablo 4 players have mentioned that not even quitting the game resolves the issue.

Furthermore, restarting the mission, abandoning the mission and restarting as well as switching Difficulty Tiers with the mission and without the mission does not resolve the bug.

The only workaround that yields results is resetting the dungeon, either by exiting the cave, leaving the game and logging back in; or by joining another player’s party after exiting the dungeon and leaving their party afterward.

The problem with this method is that it can take hours for the quest to finally progress.

Flayer’s Outpost

One Diablo 4 player claimed that players have to beat the Flayer’s Outpost event before entering the cave to progress in the quest.

Right next to the Wasting Hollow Dungeon entrance is an event, which seems to be the culprit of the bug.

Complete the event before entering the dungeon, quit the game and log back in. Players can then enter the Dungeon to fix the bug.

Keep in mind that there may not always be a Flayer’s Outpost event active when you enter the cave.

Is Blizzard aware of the bug?

The Gore Soaked Barricade bug has allegedly been a problem for approximately 3 weeks. Players therefore assume that the game’s developer, Blizzard, is aware of the issue and is actively working on resolving it.

We recommend that you regularly check the official announcements for updates on the bug.
