Diablo Immortal: Tempest Class

Blizzard recently announced that the new Tempest class will be added to Diablo Immortal on Thursday, 23 May 2024.

On Tuesday, 7 May 2024, Blizzard released a trailer in which they announced that a new class will be introduced in Diablo Immortal.

The update revealed that in a time of ever-growing danger for the world of Sanctuary, mysterious wanderers have sailed from the frigid mists of the north to push back the darkness surrounding us.

Tempests are agile, dual blade-wielding warriors that harness the fury of the storm and crash upon their opponents with wind and waves.

The new class does not come as a surprise for Diablo Immortal players as the Road Map revealed that Blizzard planned to introduce a new class between March 2024 and April 2024.

Although Blizzard released the Road Map earlier in 2024, they did not reveal what the 8th Diablo Immortal class will be.  However, players datamined the information and suspected that Tempest will be the next class.

Shortly after the release of the new class was confirmed, it was announced that players can complete a new quest specifically for the Tempest.

Unfortunately, the video announcement did not provide exact details about the Tempest’s abilities or skills.

However, the video did reveal some of the Tempest’s actual gameplay, which showcased how the class fights enemies with 2 weapons.

Players can also find out about some of the class’s abilities as the character rapidly moves between enemies and uses forces of nature to deal damage to foes.

Available classes

Although Blizzard has introduced a new class, you can still play the following classes:

Name Description
Blood Knight These monstrous protectors devour the lifeblood of their foes.
Crusaders They dominate the battlefield through sheer purpose.
Wizard Wizards manipulate arcane forces to strike from a distance.
Barbarian They use brutal attacks to crush their opponents.
Monk Monks use lighting-fast strikes which pummel enemies.
Demon Hunter These vengeful stalkers strike undeterred until their prey is at their mercy.
Necromancers They use their powers over life and death to preserve balance in Sanctuary.

Do you have to pay real money to enjoy the Tempest class?

Blizzard revealed that the Tempest will arrive in Diablo Immortal as part of a free update which will also introduce the new quest specifically for the class.

It can therefore be said that all Diablo Immortal players will be able to test out the Tempest’s powers.

That being said, you do not have to create a new character to experience the new class. Thanks to Diablo Immortal’s class change feature, all gamers can convert one of their existing characters to the new Tempest class.

Keep in mind, however, that the Class Change feature is only available for players level 35 and higher. You can change your class once every 7 days at no cost.

However, there is also a one-time option to immediately revert to your previous class, skipping the seven-day waiting period.

Once the Tempest has been added to Diablo Immortal, players level 35 and higher will immediately be able to change to the new class to experience its skills and abilities.

When will the Tempest class be added to the game?

Blizzard’s Road Map, which was released in early 2024, revealed that the new character will be released between March 2024 and April 2024.

However, Diablo Immortal’s developer did not keep to its promise as the character was only announced on Tuesday, 7 May 2024.

According to the announcement, the Tempest class will be added to Diablo Immortal on Thursday, 23 May 2024.

That being said, Blizzard will take the game offline for some time to implement the update. Once the game is live, we advise you to ensure that you have its latest version installed to enjoy the new class.
