In Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai: A Hero’s Bonds, players will come across multiple characters, including Avan, Dai, Popp, Maam and the Dark Lord, among others.
Dragon Quest is a series of Japanese role-playing video games published by Square Enix. With its first game published in 1986, there are 11 main-series games, along with multiple spin-off games. Additionally, there have been various anime, manga and novels published under the franchise, with nearly every game in the main series having a related adaption.
Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai: A Hero’s Bonds is the latest addition to the Dragon Quest franchise. The game’s description states, “In a world tormented by the forces pf evil, a swordsman and his companions set out to defeat Hadlar, the Dark Lord.”
The description continues, “It has been many years now since The Hero restored peace to land. On an isolated island I the southern seas, a boy named Dai lives among monsters, yearning to become a hero himself someday. However, everything changes when the Dark Lord is revived.
In the game, players will come across multiple characters. Avan is the former hero who serves as a mentor to Dai and his friends. In the past, he defeated the Dark Lord and subsequently saved the entire world. Even though he has a mischievous side, he has an unshakeable will and is a fantastic teacher.
Dai was washed ashore on Dermline Island as a baby. He was raised by the shaman, Brass. More recently, his talents have flourished under the guidance of Avan.
Popp is an admirer of the hero, Avan. He became his apprentice to train as a mage; however, he gets carried away quite easily. Popp has a tendency to run away when things get tough. That being said, players will discover that he also has a compassionate side. Maam defends her hometown, Nayle, with a magic bullet gun given to her by Avan. She is a strong-willed girl who means business, but she is full of kindness on the inside.
In addition to the characters, players will also discover the villains of the game, including the Dark Lord, Crocodine and Hyunckel, among others. The official release date for Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai: A Hero’s Bonds has yet to be announced. However, players are now able to pre-register on the official website.
