Epic Seven: Do pet skills stack?
Skills refer to an effect that allows your pets and Guardians to deal damage, heal, enhance, or buff your allies on the battlefield. Skill-stacking indicates that pets and characters are layering several buffs on top of each other. This will have a great effect on your gameplay, as it means that you will receive more rewards.
Unfortunately, pets’ skills do not stack on top of each other. This is so that the game can limit the rewards or enhancements that you receive from your pets. If a Lobby Pet increases your equipment enhance experiment by, for example, 4 percent, it will not double if you allocate an additional Lobby Pet. This principle applies to Battle Pets as well.
You should thus choose your Battle and Lobby Pets carefully, as their skills will not stack. Which pets you choose is entirely up to you, as you have to decide which increases or decreases you’d prefer in your gameplay.
How to acquire a pet
Once you have reached Rank 20, you will unlock the Pet System and start the tutorial. You will obtain your first pet when you have finished the tutorial. In order to collect more pets, you have to purchase a pet adoption ticket from the Pet Shop, which can be found inside the Pet House.
Bear in mind that you can summon a free pet daily in the Pet House. This means that you do not have to purchase a pet adoption ticket, unless you want a specific pet.
Pet summon rate
All players can receive an additional pet daily from the Pet House. The pets are divided into different tiers, which means that the S-tier has the best benefits, while the D-tier has the worst or least beneficial.
That being said, the summon rate of the D-tier pets is the highest as they are very common. The following table outlines the different tiers as well as their summon rate:
Tier | Summon rate |
D-tier | 35 percent |
C-tier | 30 percent |
B-tier | 20 percent |
A-tier | 10 percent |
S-tier | 5 percent |
Is having a pet mandatory?
Pets may seem like a crucial aspect of the game, but they are not mandatory to have. This means that you can still enjoy the game and make progress in the story without a pet. Some players prefer having a pet to increase and improve some characteristics of their Guardians. However, it is entirely your decision if you want a pet or not.
