Several Evony players have received a Shadow Ban because of the use of 3rd party software to gain an unfair advantage in the game.
Over the past few days, several Evony: The King’s Return players have noticed that their accounts have been Shadow Banned.
On an Evony-themed Discord server, administrator Chazz mentioned that Evony has been displacing bosses for gamers who have been using 3rd party software to gain an unfair advantage in the game.
Players who have used 3rd party bots, cheats and hacks are therefore unable to view specific bosses on the world map.
For instance, one player mentioned that his Alliance members can see monsters at specific coordinates on the world map, but when he looks at the same coordinates, there is no monster on the tile.
Since the Shadow Ban, several Monarchs have mentioned that they were banned even if they did not use any 3rd party software to gain an unfair advantage in the game.
Naturally, these players are extremely upset as they are essentially unable to vanquish high-level monsters.
Chazz revealed that he believes that it is another Evony Mess, however, it is undetermined whether the Shadow Ban was on purpose or an accident.
Evony players can generally view the game’s updates and news through their in-game mail, but the game’s developers have yet to announce the Shadow Ban problem.
Monsters changing levels
In addition to not being able to see specific monsters on the world map, some Evony players have mentioned that they have discovered a high-level monster on the world map.
However, as soon as they send their troops out, the monster’s level changes, or the entire monster type changes.
This is also attributable to the Shadow Ban effect and if you are experiencing it, we recommend that you submit a ticket to the game’s developers.
How to report the Shadow Ban
If you realize that you cannot see certain bosses on the world map and if you are 100 percent certain that you are not using 3rd party software, we recommend that you submit a ticket.
To do this, you have to open the “Settings” menu by clicking the icon with the three dots.
In the Settings menu, you will find the “Customer Support” category and if you click on it, you can submit a ticket or email the customer support directly.
Evony’s response
Some Evony players have already contacted support to notify them about the Shadow Ban problem.
One player mentioned that the game’s support only mentioned that bosses will randomly spawn on the world map and once they are defeated by another player, they will disappear from the map.
According to Evony, this feature is part of regular game play, but this does not address the Shadow Ban issue.
Players are therefore anxiously awaiting Evony’s response to the Shadow Ban bug as several gamers who do not use any 3rd party software got the ban.
