How to catch the Fwooper
As you get closer to one of the dens, you’ll find the creature flying around the area. To successfully catch the Fwooper, take out your Nab-Sack and press the button prompts four times.
If they manage to get away before you complete the process, you can use spells like Levioso, Arresto Momentum or Glacius.
Once they are slowed or immobilized, you can use the Nab-Sack that Deek gave you to capture one.

Fwooper Feathers
Fwooper beasts drop Fwooper Feathers. These Feathers can be used to upgrade and assign traits to gear. Alternatively, you can sell them to get some extra money.
You can get Fwooper Feathers as a reward for the creatures you have rescued. In the Vivarium, in the Room of Requirement, use the Beast Feed and Beast Petting Brush to tame, feed, pet and nurture them.
It is important to note that you will need to wait 25 minutes to collect the Feathers. You can repeat this process as many times as you like. It’s simply a matter of feeding and caring for the Fwooper.
Alternatively, you can purchase Fwooper Feathers from Brood and Peck shop located at Hogsmeade Village for 250 Gold Galleons each.
However, since there is already a free supply of them back at the Vivarium, we advise players not to spend money on such resources.
Shiny Fwooper
Booth male and female Fwooper come in a variety of different colors. A Shiny variant of the Fwooper is all-white.
Out of 13 beasts, 12 can be caught as a shiny, with each of them having four different variations:
- Adult Shiny (Male)
- Adult Shiny (Female)
- Offspring Shiny (Male)
- Offspring Shiny (Female)
One method of getting a Shiny Offspring, is to breed one Shiny male beast and one Shiny female beast in your Vivarium.
Fwooper Breeding
To unlock the ability to breed the magical beasts in Hogwarts Legacy, you need to first complete the “Foal of the Dead” side quest given to you by Deek in The Room of Requirement to unlock the Breeding Pen.
After completing the quest, go to the spellcraft menu by using the Conjuring Spell in the Vivarium. Select the Breeding Pen from the ‘Beast Items’ menu.
To breed, you’ll need a male and female of the same species. Select the Fwoopers – an adult Fwooper male and an adult Fwooper female. Both should be put in the Beast Breeding Pen in the Room of Requirement.
The breeding process takes 30 minutes of gameplay and will result in the addition of a cute Fwooper creature to your Vivarium.
When correctly cared for, a baby Fwooper will also produce Fwooper Feathers. Keep in mind though, that offsprings do not grow up in Hogwarts Legacy, so they’ll stay young forever.
