Hogwarts Legacy: Which house has the most quests?

Since all the houses follow the same main plot in Hogwarts Legacy, no one house has more quests than any other house.

In this exhilarating video game, Hogwarts Legacy, you can control a character as you explore the Wizarding World. The game is based on the classic Harry Potter novels, though it takes place before the events of the novels.

Similarly to the novels, there are 4 different houses in Hogwarts Legacy, and as such, players have questioned which house has the most quests.

Houses in Hogwarts Legacy

Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is divided into 4 distinct houses, all of which are named after the founders of the school. Gryffindor was founded by Godric Gryffindor while Hufflepuff was founded by Helga Hufflepuff.

Ravenclaw, on the other hand, was founded by Rowena Ravenclaw and Slytherin was founded by Salazar Slytherin.

In Hogwarts Legacy, you have to attend the Sorting Ceremony to determine which house you are in. During this ceremony, the Sorting Hat will present you with questions. Your answers to these questions will determine the house that you are sorted into.

If you are unhappy with your recommended house, you will get an opportunity to select the house that you want to be in.

Hogwarts Legacy: Which house has the most quests?

Once you are sorted into a house, you can kick off your Hogwarts journey. Although there are different houses, every house follows the same main story. This essentially means that the house does not determine the main story of Hogwarts Legacy.

That being said, every house has a house specific quest. If you are in Ravenclaw, you will not be able to complete Slytherin’s house quest. Apart from the house-specific quests, all houses follow the same plot of the game.

This means that no one house features more quests than another house. There are no benefits that you can gain by being in a specific house.

The houses may follow the same storyline, but there are some physical features that make each house unique, though this does not affect the main plot of the game.

The table below outlines each house’s specific quest and a description of each:

House Quest Description
Ravenclaw Ollivander’s Heirloom For this quest, players have to speak to Ollivander in Hogsmeade, who will ask you to search for a long-lost wand.
Slytherin Scrope’s Last Hope Follow a series of mysterious notes to meet a house elf named Scrope. He asks you to retrieve a ring from a dark cave.
Hufflepuff Prisoner of Love This quest requires that you speak to the portrait of Eldritch Diggory. To complete this quest, you have to travel to Azkaban, which is home to the most infamous wizard criminals.
Gryffindor The Hunt of the Missing Pages Nearly Headless Nick asks you to help him join the Headless Hunt. This quest includes some notable characters, locations, and events from the Harry Potter novels.

House distinctions

Although the houses in Hogwarts Legacy follow the same main story plot, they do have some features that make them unique. Firstly, the house colours are incorporated into some of your gear to display your house as you progress in the game.

Moreover, you can only enter your house’s common room, which is exclusive to the members of the house;  you cannot enter another house’s common room. You will also be able to use the floo flame fast travel point in your common room.

Furthermore, players can socialise with other 5th year students in your house, and you will get the opportunity to meet students from other houses.

Can you change your house?

Once the Sorting Ceremony has concluded, you will not be able to change your house. Therefore, players should carefully select which house they want to be in.

The only way that you can change your house is by creating an entirely new character and then selecting the house you want to be in.

If you want to experience all the house-specific quests, you can play the game through to the end and then create another character with a new house. Furthermore, you cannot complete a house’s quest if you are not in that house.

What is the best house in Hogwarts Legacy?

As previously explained, all the houses in Hogwarts Legacy follow the same main plot. This means that no houses are considered better another house. However, many Harry Potter fans have a preferred house.

If you prefer a specific house, you will be able to select that house during the Sorting Ceremony. If you do not prefer a specific house, though, you can choose the house that the Sorting Hat recommends to you.
