Necropolis is a new area in MCoC’s Battlerealm which invites Paragon players to progress in different nodes to earn rewards.
In Marvel Contest of Champions (MCoC) players can journey through an exciting story as they explore a dynamic quest map and engage in a healthy dose of action-packed fighting.
It is up to you to level up your team’s abilities to triumph in the challenges of The Battlerealm.
Necropolis
On Friday, 3 November 2023, the game’s developer, Kabam, released the patch notes for update 41.3, which introduced new quests, new champions, new side quests as well as Alliance Quest Season 11. The update also debuted The Necropolis.
The quest’s official description reveals that the Grandmaster is looking for assistance in dealing with a strange problem.
Allegedly, his brother, the Collector, has a collection of malfunctioned experimental Champions which are housed in a special area of The Battlerealm.
This new area was named The Necropolis and the champions that inhabit it were released from their Crystals improperly.
The Grandmaster opened the doors of the Necropolis to Paragon players on Wednesday, 15 November 2023. Players who meet the requirements must fight different Champions in varying battle nodes to earn rich rewards.
There are different trap nodes, Champions, attackers and strategies to consider before you enter the Necropolis. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to select which difficulty you want to fight the enemies on.
We recommend that you select the easy path initially to see how the fights progress, but as you become more comfortable with the fights, you can select the more difficult option to put your Champions’ abilities to the test.

Trap nodes
Every path in The Necropolis has certain trap nodes that you have to consider before starting a battle. The trap nodes for the first half of each path are:
Path | Trap node |
1 | Take your Medicine: Every time the Attacker performs a Well-Timed Block, they gain a 25 percent Potency Tranquilize Passive for 12 seconds |
2 | Against the Ropes: While the Defender’s back is against the Wall, the attacker takes 25 percent of the defender’s Base Attack as Direct Damage when they strike the defender with Contact Attacks |
3 | Dodge This: Whenever the attacker uses a special attack, they cannot trigger the dexterity mastery, evade or cause attacks to miss for 8 seconds |
4 | Pillow Hands: Whenever the defender is struck by a critical hit, the attacker is inflicted with a 20 percent Stifle Passive and a Fatigue Passive of -250 for 10 seconds |
5 | Crippling Detonation: Whenever the defender gains a Bar of Power, the attacker is inflicted with an 8 second Power Detonation Passive, unless the defender suffered from a damaging debuff or passive, or if the attacker is already inflicted with one of the Power Detonations. The potency of the detonation equates to 100 percent of the defender’s base attack. |
6 | Mix Up: Whenever the defender finishes a special attack, the attacker’s dodge and dash controls are reversed for 5 seconds. |
