MCoC: Raid Boosts

Summoners are able to select 1 of 3 powerful boosts as they progress in MCoC’s Alliance Raid, in which the boosts are determined by your role.

As you progress in Marvel Contest of Champions’ Alliance Raids, you will receive boosts to help your Champions defeat the enemies. Keep in mind though that the boosts you will receive are determined by your role.

The Alliance leader will generally decide which member will fulfill each role, which means that you could be assigned to Tactician, Assault or Vanguard.

Not only does your role determine the boosts you will receive, but it also determines which Champions you will be able to use in the Raid.

Once the roles have been assigned to different Summoners, you can enter the Raid map and start defeating several enemies. When you enter the map, you will see a Choice Node, which features icons for each Role.

You have to match that role with your chosen Champion role, or the abilities gained from the boosts will not work with your Champion. Every role has 3 unique buffs that you can benefit from, however, MCoC players can only select 1 boost.

We therefore recommend that you select the Boost that best suits your Champions’ abilities. You will not be able to change your Boost when you have made the decision, so you have to select the Boost that you want with caution.

Vanguard boosts

If you are playing as a Vanguard, you can choose one of the following Boosts:

Boost Description
Critical Armor
  • Increases any Raid Fervor gained from missions by 6 for each Armor Up Buff active on the attacker
  • Combo Ending attacks grant a 45 second 10 Armor Up Buff
  • You will gain critical damage rating equal to armor rating
Weak Spot
  • Increases any Raid Fervor gained from missions by 6 for every Weakness or Taunt debuff active on the Defender
  • When punishing the opponent’s heavy or special attack, your opponent will inflict them with a 45-second Weakness Debuff
Shield Smasher
  • Increases any Raid Fervor gained from missions by 6 for every Armor Break Debuff active on the Defender
  • Whenever the attacker blocks an Attack, it inflicts the Defender with a 45-second armor break debuff

Tactician Boosts

Tactician Summoners can choose one of the following boosts:

Boost Description
Null Break
  • Increases any Raid Fervor gained from Missions by 6 for each Armor Break Debuff active on the Defender
  • Combo Ending Attacks applies a Placebo Buff on the Defender
Unparalleled Buffs
  • Increases any Raid Fervor gained from Missions by 6 for every Unique Buff on the Attacker
  • Punishing a Heavy or Special attack will grant an order a 45 second 10% Fury, Armor Up, Precision, True Damage and Cruelty Buff
Super Buffs
  • Increase any Raid Fervor gained from Missions by 6 for every Buff active on the Attacker
  • Intercepting the opponent will grant a 45-second 10% Intensify Buff

Assault Boosts

Summoners who take on the Assault role can select 1 of the following buffs:

Boost Description
Prowess Ender
  • Increases any Raid Fervor gained from Missions by 6 for each Prowess active on the Attacker
  • Combo-Ending attacks grant a 50% Prowess Passive for 45 seconds
Crit Crusher
  • Increases any Raid Fervor gained from Missions by 6 for each Precision active on the Attacker.
  • Punishing Defenders Special or Heavy Attacks grants the Attacker a Precision Passive, which increases the critical rating by 40%
DOT Boost
  • Increases any Raid Fervor gained from Missions by 6 for each Debilitate or Damaging effect active on the Defender
  • Intercepting the Defender inflicts a 25% Debilitate debuff for 45 seconds
