MCoC’s Shot to the Ironheart is essentially a Rift which requires that players only use #Romance and #It’s Complicated Tagged Champions
There are various in-game events that you can enjoy in Marvel Contest of Champions (MCoC). One of these events you can participate in is Shot to the Ironheart, which is essentially a side quest.
If you open your Solo Events menu, you will find the “I would do Anything for Love” and “But I Won’t Do That” objectives.
If you complete the objectives in these solo events, you will receive Heart-Coded Entry Keys. Once you have a key, you can use it to gain access to the Shot to the Ironheart event.
That being said, you can acquire the initial key to unlock the side quest by claiming it in your in-game mail.
When you have unlocked the side quest, you will be able to select the Threat Level. It is worth noting that the difficulty increases with every Threat Level.
This means that Threat Level 1 is much easier to complete than Threat Level 5. However, if you choose Threat Level 5, you will receive all the lower levels’ rewards.
Shot to the Ironheart is essentially a Rift, which means that the path you will have to take is randomly selected.
That being said, some paths have a higher chance of being selected than others. Before starting the Rift, you need to choose the Champions that you want to use to vanquish the enemies.

We recommend that you choose your best Romance characters to advance in the event. Once you have started the event, you can choose between a selection of Riri Willaim’s backup supplies before starting the battle.
Side events
In order to unlock the Shot to the Ironheart event, players must participate in the “I would do Anything for Love” side event.. The number of points you earn determines the rewards that you will earn.
The following table lists the number of points you will earn for completing a task in the “I would do Anything for Love” solo event:
Task | Points earned |
Win a fight | 1 |
Win a fight with a #Romance Tagged Champion | 2 |
Win a fight with a #It’s Complicated Tagged Champion | 2 |
If you complete these tasks, you will earn Heart Coded Entry Keys and Tier 1 Devoted Decryption Keys. It is worth noting that a week’s worth of keys can be collected on the first day of that week.
“But I Won’t Do That” objectives
The “But I Won’t Do That” event requires that you vanquish #Romance and #It’s Complicated Tagged Champions. For every enemy that you defeat, you will receive 1 point, which determines the rewards that you will receive.
However, your rank at the time determines the quantity of rewards that you will earn:

When will the Shot at the Ironheart event conclude?
MCoC gamers should note that the Shot to the Ironheart event is a month-long event which ensures that every Summoner can complete the paths to earn rewards. Allegedly, the event will conclude on Wednesday, 6 March 2024.
Every week you will be able to earn a specific number of Heart Coded Entry Keys to give you access to the Shot at the Ironheart event.
Keep in mind, however, that there is a limit on the number of keys that you can earn per week. We therefore recommend that you use your keys wisely throughout the week.
