During the first 2 weeks of MCoC’s Winter of Woe Summoners have to defeat Absorbing Man, whose perfect counter is allegedly She-Hulk
Marvel Contest of Champions (MCoC) regularly hosts limited-time activities that invite players to complete unique activities to earn valuable rewards.
The Winter of Woe brings a set of challenges that consists of one 1-versus-1 quest which will be released every 2 weeks.
Summoners therefore have to defeat a specific Champion every 2 weeks while Winter of Woe is active. In week 1 of the event, players have to defeat Absorbing Man and since he has 12 287 000 health points, it will not be an easy fight.
Before entering the battle, we recommend that you consider these nodes:
- Enhanced Parry: Armor Break
- Aggression: Precision
- No Hit-Mercy (Passive) -3
- Buff Toggle (Unstoppable) 3
- Adaptive Override
- Indomitable
- Brute Force
If you complete the fight, you will earn 1 point, which counts toward the Winter of Woe event.
However in addition to fighting Absorbing Man, there are numerous objectives that you can complete to earn additional points towards your milestones.
Objectives
Although the main objective of the Winter Woe event is to vanquish a specific opponent, there are additional objectives you can complete to earn additional points.
It is worth noting that the objectives you have to complete are determined by on your Rank in MCoC at the time:

If you complete these solo objectives, you will not only receive Winter of Woe points, but you will also receive 200 000 Gold, which can be used to purchase numerous items.
Which Champion should you use to conquer Absorbing Man?
Although you can use any Champion to defeat Absorbing Man during the Winter of Woe event, this is not advised.
This is because some Champions will counter him better than others, therefore, you should carefully consider which Champion you want to use.
On the official MCoC Forum, a player known as Dangarang122 mentioned that She-Hulk is the best counter for Absorbing Man. She has a slow on her heavy to counter the unstoppable, as well as a petrify on her SP2 to reverse the regen.
If you can stack up enough furies, she can out-damage the regen too. If your She-Hulk is awakened, every fury also increases the chances that the defender will throw specials.
Until when can you defeat Absorbing Man?
Winter of Woe commenced on Wednesday, 7 February 2024 and the first foe that you have to destroy is Absorbing Man.
As previously mentioned, MCoC Summoners have 2 weeks to defeat the enemy before a new enemy is introduced to the event.
Unfortunately, this means that players have until Wednesday, 21 February 2024 to vanquish Absorbing Man and earn rewards.
A new enemy will then shortly be revealed, and you will have 2 weeks to defeat him or her to earn rewards.
