Part 3 of MCoC’s Winter of Woe event requires that players defeat Hulkling and complete a few solo objectives
Part 3 of Marvel Contest of Champions’ Winter of Woe event began on Wednesday, 6 March 2024. During the Winter of Woe event, you have to defeat a Champion and complete solo objectives to earn rich rewards.
In part 3 of the event, Summoners have to vanquish Hulkling, who is the wielder of the mythical star-sword, Excelsior.
Even though you can use any Champions to defeat Hulkling, this is not recommended as some characters will perform better in the fight than others. Fortunately, there are various options that you can use to conquer Hulkling.
Players can use Cosmic Ghost Rider and use his special 2 to defeat Hulkling. Although most Summoners do not have Bullseye, he is also a great option for part 3 of the Winter of Woe event.
If you use Bullseye, you will also be completing one of the solo objectives. If you are yet to acquire CGR and Bullseye, you can use Domino, Quicksilver, Kushala, Karank or Photon.
Additionally, Summoners can bring Absorbing Man or Massacre to the fight, as they are one of the best choices to defeat Hulkling.
That being said, YouTuber, Karatemike415 believes that America Chavez is the best option to defeat him. If you are yet to procure America Chavez, you can still vanquish Hulkling by using one of the mentioned characters.
Solo objectives
In addition to defeating Hulking, there are numerous solo objectives that you can complete to earn rewards. The table below lists the objectives that players must complete:
Name | Description |
Mercenary | To complete this objective, you have to use a Champion with the Mercenary Tag. |
Dimensional Being | You have to use a Dimensional Being character to complete this objective. |
Medium + Avenger | Players who have reached the Valiant rank have to use a Medium and Avenger Tagged character to complete this objective. |
Recommended characters for the solo objectives
To complete part 3’s solo objectives, you have to use Champions with a specific tag. We recommend the following Champions:
Name | Champions |
Mercenary |
|
Dimensional Being |
|
Medium + Avenger |
|
If you use specific MCoC Champions against Hulkling, you will be able to complete a solo objective.
That being said, your rank determines which objectives you can complete, which means that you may not have access to all the objectives.
Hulkling’s weaknesses
Before starting the fight against Hulkling, we recommend that you consider his weaknesses:
Name | Description |
Regeneration Rate Reduction | Hulkling uses Regeneration Buffs to recover the damage he takes, and he reduces the duration of any Heal Block applied on him. The best way to control and reduce his healing is lowering his Regeneration Rate by using Spectre and Petrify. |
Neutralize and Nullify | Since the vast majority of Hulkling’s effects are buffs, they are susceptible to Nullify effects. However, he does have some effects which are Passive, or keep track of how many Buffs he has triggered, even if they are removed. |
