During MCoC’s Winter of Woe event Summoners have to take on a powerful boss with unique objectives to earn rewards.
Marvel Contest of Champions released update V43.0 on Tuesday, 2 February 2024, and it introduced various new features that you can enjoy.
Players can now participate in the Forbidden Fruit event and collect 2 new Champions, namely Dust and Ironheart.
The update also announced that you can enjoy the Winter of Woe event. Unfortunately, only Summoners who have reached the Paragon level can participate in the new activity.
This event consists of one 1-versus-1 quest which will be released every 2 weeks.
Be warned, however, that the encounters are not for the faint of heart and will cause you to be overcome with WOE. In addition to the 1-versus-1 quest, you can complete solo objectives to earn additional rewards.
MCoC regularly hosts challenges throughout the year to give players the opportunity to earn valuable items.
The Winter of Woe challenge, as the name implies, is themed around the winter season. You will therefore have to fight a boss every 2 weeks to complete the quest.
Summoners will also get 2 Paragon objectives and a Valiant objective for each boss. These objectives require that you use specific Champions to defeat the boss. You have 2 weeks to defeat the boss before the next boss will appear.
That being said, when a boss is replaced by another boss, the objectives that you have to complete are also replaced by new objectives.
When you have defeated all 4 bosses over the course of 2 months, players will be able to complete a special quest that features the 4 bosses and 2 additional bosses.
You have a month to vanquish the 6 bosses and complete the unique objectives to earn rewards.
Milestone rewards
If you defeat the boss and complete the objectives, you will earn rewards, which are determined by the number of points you have accumulated:

Rank rewards
As previously mentioned, only players Paragon level and higher can enjoy the Winter of Woe event. That being said, you will earn specific rewards based on your rank if you participate in the event:

Winter of Woe Schedule
In order to make the most of the Winter of Woe event, we recommend that you consider the event’s schedule.
As previously mentioned, a boss fight will remain active for 2 weeks and thereafter, a new boss will appear along with new objectives that you have to complete.

According to the schedule, the Winter of Woe event will commence on Wednesday, 7 February 2024 and players can enjoy this event until Wednesday, 1 May 2024.
What are the objectives?
MCoC players can acquire additional rewards by completing the unique objectives for every boss. Since the event is not active yet, we cannot say what the objectives will be that you have to complete.
As mentioned above, the objectives may require that you use a specific character to destroy the boss.
For instance, you may have to use an Avenger to defeat the boss. We recommend that you regularly check the objectives that you have to complete to earn rewards.
