MSF: Alpha Flight

MSF recently introduced the Alpha Flight team, however, only players who are willing to spend real money can obtain it.

Scopely, Marvel Strike Force’s developer, recently added a new crew that players can obtain to defeat enemies.

According to Marvel lore, Alpha Flight was created to serve as part of Wolverine’s backstory. The team is Marvel’s premier Canadian superhero team akin to America’s Avengers.

This team consists of 3 new characters, namely, Guardian, who founded the Alpha Flight team, Northstar, a powerful mutant, and Sasquatch, a giant, furry, super-powered character.

To complete the team, Scopely updated Sunfire and Wolverine to prepare them for their new roles in the Alpha Flight team.

To celebrate the arrival of the new team, Scopely introduced the Spotlight Raid, which replaces Greek Raids.

Players should note that this raid requires 4 teams of 6, instead of the usual 3 teams of 8 characters. This means that every player counts more than ever.

Each Raid Strike Team will contain 3 lanes, however, you will not have to face the enemies alone. Every lane will be tackled by 2 Alliance members, which means that you will have a partner to rely on as you progress through the Raid.

To make headway in the new Raid, players have to use the Alpha Flight team and the Spider Society team.

This Raid is your opportunity to earn huge quantities of Ability Materials, especially the powerful T4 Ability Materials and Crimson Gear.

The rewards that you earn are determined by the difficulty in which you complete the Raid. Players can choose between the normal, difficulty 1 and difficulty 2 modes.

That being said, every difficulty level has certain requirements that must be met in order to complete it.

Recommended ISO-8 Classes

Northstar, Guardian and Sasquatch are new characters in MSF, thus players should experiment with their ISO-8 classes to see which class enhances their capabilities best.

Wolverine and Sunfire, however, were updated to prepare them for their new role in the Alpha Flight team.

To enhance their capabilities, you have to assign specific ISO-8 classes to them. The recommended ISO-8 classes are as follows:

Name Recommended ISO-8 class
Sunfire He is a pure damage dealer who can occasionally apply a Bleed debuff with his basic attack. If you do not have someone on the team to apply Vulnerability, we recommend that you apply the Skirmisher class to him. However, if you want to exploit existing Weaknesses, we recommend that you assign the Striker class to him.
Wolverine Wolverine should either use the Striker or the Raider class. However his class depends on the team he is used in.

Players’ opinions

On the official MSF Discord server, several players have shared their opinions about the upcoming Spotlight and Alpha Flight team.

At the time of writing, players can only add the Alpha Flight’s new members to their roster by spending real money.

Unfortunately, this means that only players who are willing to spend money in the game can participate in the Spotlight raid.

That being said, free-to-play players will also be able to add the Alpha Flight members to their roster for free, but at a much later date.

When they are officially released, players must participate in an event to earn the new characters.

Raid requirements

If you are willing to spend real money in MSF, you can purchase the new characters and enjoy the new Spotlight raid. Keep in mind  that every difficulty level has certain requirements that have to be met:

Difficulty 1 Tier 2 Level 1 ISO-8
Difficulty 2 Tier 2 Level 4 ISO-8
