In this popular massively multiplayer online role-playing game, New World, players can colonise a fictional land that is modelled after the Americas.
The game pits players against the haunted wilderness of Aeternum, which is a mysterious island that was discovered during the twilight of the Age of Exploration.
New World invites you to carve your own destiny with other players in a living, hostile, and cursed land. Gamers have to overcome the brutal legion of the Corrupted and draw battle lines with competing players in the land of opportunity and danger.
While exploring the fictitious world, you may discover points of interest, one of which is Castrum Principium and in this zone, you may find Elite Chests.
Chests in New World
There are different chests that you can find in New World. However, you can also use storage chests in your house, as they grant additional storage space to the settlement that the Chest is present in.
Players can find supply chests, ancient chests, alchemy chests, provision chests, brimstone chests, expedition chests, and ornate chests as they explore the world. As the game’s name implies, the material chests provide you with a specific material.
For instance, if you open an Alchemy chest, you will get alchemy materials, which you can use to craft items or sell to receive gold.
New World: Castrum
One of the points of interest in New World is Castrum Principium. The area is North-East of the Hedjedjet Canyon in Aeternum, however, your character has to at least be on level 66 before you enter the zone.
This is because the enemies that spawn in that zone are part of the Corrupted Family, which has a minimum level of 66.
If your character has a low level, you may have a difficult time defeating them. In addition to defeating monsters, you can also search for Elite chests in the Castrum Principium area.
Elite chests are supply chests and ancient chests, each of which could contain rare items.
The elite chests allegedly spawn in the same location every time, but keep in mind that you can only loot a chest once every 23 hours. This means that you can loot a chest once a day to get rewards.
Players can find a supply chest on the top floor of a tower, but the area is full of enemies, so you have to defeat them first. Just outside of the tower, you can discover another chest, which could drop a Golden Scarab.
You can find another chest on top of a platform, which is situated next to a ramp. Another chest can be found in a courtyard that contains several tables. This chest could also drop a Golden Scarab.
It is recommended that you check every tower in that area, as it seems like each tower features a chest. Players should note that they could also find material chests while looking for elite chests in Castrum Principium.
Can you explore Castrum Principium alone?
Although you can explore Castrum Principium as a solo player, it is recommended that you rather team up with other players to do so. This is because you may have to defeat several enemies simultaneously, which can make defeating them quite difficult.
If you are a solo player, you might fail to defeat the enemies, but if you are in a party of 5 members, you can easily defeat several enemies at the same time.
Even when you are in a party, each party member will get the opportunity to loot a chest and receive the items. The chests do not disappear when 1 party member loots it.
How to create a group in New World
Before you explore Castrum Principium, you should create a party with other players to make defeating the enemies easier.
If you are interested in creating a group with your friends, you can press the escape button on your keyboard while you are logged in to your world.
Then, you have to click the online icon to open the social tab. In the new menu, you can click on your friend’s name and select “Invite to group.”
If you are in the same group as your friends, you will be able to see them on the map, and you will also be able to see how far away from you they are.
Elite chests rewards
The Elite chests are special containers that can be found near high-level bosses or Named Enemies. The Elite Supply Chests could contain apparel, weapons, raw gemstones, craft mods, and furnishings, among other things.
