Dr. Phlox has asked STFC players to find and capture Regulan Bloodworms, which can be obtained by completing the “Runaway Cargo” mission
The Interspecies Illnesses events in Star Trek Fleet Command (STFC) invites players who are level 10 and higher to team up with Dr. Phlox to cure a galaxy-wide plague.
Dr. Phlox revealed that he uses a wide array of creatures in his research and in his treatment plans.
Unfortunately, he discovered that 6 of his creatures have escaped their cages and now it is your responsibility to catch them. One of the critters that you have to capture is the Regulan Bloodworms.
Several players have mentioned that they searched every corner of the galaxy and have yet to find the Bloodworms.
This is because the only way that you can obtain the Bloodworm is by completing the “Runaway Cargo” mission.
If you complete this mission’s objectives, you will receive the Bloodworm as a reward. In order to complete this mission, you have to defeat 18 hostiles level 11 or higher.
The mission’s description does not specify that you have to vanquish the hostiles in a specific system. You are therefore free to choose which system you want to vanquish the enemies in.
After defeating the opponents, you will complete the quest and receive a Regulan Bloodworm as a reward.
Returning the Bloodworm
Once you have received the Bloodworm, you have to return it to Dr. Phlox. Players must open the event menu and select the “Interspecies Illnesses” tab.
In the new menu, you will find the tab that allows you to return the Bloodworm to its owner.
To acknowledge you for your efforts, you will be rewarded with 24 000 Medical Test Results. These Results will help you progress in the Interspecies Illnesses events.
Additional creatures
In addition to the Bloodworm, Dr. Phlox has asked you to help him capture the 5 other lost creatures. Players can use the following table to help them find the creatures:

Critters Galore mission
If you capture all of Dr. Phlox’s missing creatures, you will complete the “Critters Galore” mission.
The mission’s description reveals that you have to refine the creatures to complete the quest. Although it mentions that you have to refine the creatures, this does not refer to the other refineries in STFC.
This refinery refers to the event menu that allows you to return the creatures to Dr. Phlox.
