Unveiling the Truth Behind the Rumors

No, Drake is not in Gears of War. While rumors have swirled, and a persistent anecdote suggests he was initially cast as Jace Stratton in Gears of War 3, this is ultimately incorrect. The role of Jace Stratton was voiced by the talented Michael B. Jordan, an American actor renowned for his performances in films like Creed and Black Panther. The confusion likely arises from an early casting consideration or a simple mix-up in online chatter that has since taken on a life of its own. So, while the thought of Drake lending his voice to the gritty world of Sera might be intriguing, the reality is that Michael B. Jordan delivered the performance we hear in the game.

The Real Voice of Jace Stratton: Michael B. Jordan

Let’s set the record straight. Michael Bakari Jordan (born February 9, 1987) is the actor behind the voice of Jace Stratton in Gears of War 3. Jordan’s performance helped solidify Jace as a memorable member of Marcus Fenix‘s squad. It’s important to note that voice acting is a specialized skill, distinct from on-screen acting, and Jordan skillfully navigated the nuances of bringing a character to life solely through his voice.

Why the Drake Rumor Persists

Despite the definitive answer, the misconception about Drake’s involvement lingers.
