WoW’s August 2023 Trading Post contains various cosmetic items, limited edition mounts as well as a pet in exchange for Trader’s Tender.

The game’s latest expansion, Dragonflight, introduced the Trading Post and Blizzard recently announced the catalog for August 2023. You have to complete challenges to purchase items from the Trading Post.
Trading Post
Upon completing a series of challenges, players will receive Trader’s Tender, which can be used to purchase unique cosmetic rewards.
We recommend that you complete the monthly activities listed in the Traveler’s Log to earn Trader’s Tender.
Every month has a rotating, themed set of activities. These activities provide players with the opportunity to earn up to 700 additional Trader’s Tender in August 2023.
Keep in mind that there is only a certain amount of Tender that you can earn monthly, what means that you do not have to complete all the activities listed in the log.

On Tuesday, 1 August 2023, Blizzard released the catalog for the August 2023 Trading Post. Players can use their Trader’s Tender to purchase the following items:

If this month’s offerings do not have the items that you want, you can save up your Trader’s Tender for next month’s catalog.
This essentially means that unspent Trader’s Tender will continue to accumulate every month, as long as you complete the challenges.
Freezing an item
If one of the August 2023 Trading Post items caught your eye, but you do not have enough Trader’s Tender to purchase it, do not fret – you can freeze the item. If you freeze an item, you can purchase it at a later stage.
When you freeze an item, it will remain available month to month until it is purchased or replaced.
For instance, if you want to purchase the Spirit of Competition pet, but you do not have 650 Trader’s Tender, you can freeze the item and complete the monthly challenges until you have enough Trader’s Tender to purchase it.
Do you receive any benefits if you purchase a Trading Post item?
As previously explained, the Trading Post generally contains cosmetic items, however, this month’s catalog features some mounts and a pet.
It is also worth noting that when you purchase a cosmetic item with your Trader’s Tender, you will not receive any bonuses or buffs.
The only purpose of cosmetic items is to change your character’s appearance without altering their skills and abilities.
As for mounts, you can use them to travel around WoW faster while a pet can be equipped to follow your character.
Additional methods with which to acquire Trader’s Tender
There are several ways that you can acquire Trader’s Tender. Players who have an account in good standing can collect 500 Trader’s Tender for free from a chest, which can be found at your faction’s Trading Post. Though you can only claim the currency once a month.
Furthermore, you can complete monthly challenges in the Traveler’s Log to obtain 700 Trader’s Tender.
All WoW players who complete the Trading Post introduction quest will be rewarded with 500 Trader’s Tender, which can only be claimed once.
This essentially means that you can earn a maximum of 1000 Trader’s Tender monthly and fortunately, the currency will carry over from month to month if you do not use it.
