WoW: Blood Troll Set
The August 2023 Trading Post also revealed that players can collect a bonus reward, Ensemble: Bones of the Bloodhunter, which is also known as the Blood Troll Set. Gamers must complete activities to fill the bar of the Traveler’s Log.
Players can view the Log by opening their Adventure Log and you can track your progress in the activities by looking at the bar, which is at the top of the Log.
When you have filled the bar, you will receive the August 2023 bonus reward, the Blood Troll Set.
This set includes 8 pieces, namely a head, shoulder, chest, waist, legs, feet, hand and cloak. You can either wear the set all together, or you can mix and match it with other items to create your own unique look.
Although the Blood Troll set looks amazing on most WoW classes and races, it looks out of place on actual Troll characters. This graphical issue is frustrating several WoW players, especially those who have Troll characters.
Unfortunately, this has marred the excitement that players have about the Blood Troll set.
Allegedly, the bloody paint that is supposed to cover your character’s feet does not appear on Troll characters who wear foot accessories.
The red coloration ends at the characters’ ankles along with accompanying wraps. At the time of writing this, this bug only affects Troll characters. Races with humanoid feet have the textures applied correctly.
Furthermore, part of the model for the belt is incorrectly tied to the leg portion of this set for every race, except for Humans.
This means that if you are planning to use the belt, it cannot be done without it appearing incomplete or glitched.
Why are Trolls experiencing the issue?
The races with non-humanoid feet, such as the hooves of Draenei, or the two-toed feet of the Troll races, cannot render most of the foot armor that they wear, outside a few exceptions.
Several WoW players have stated that this bug does not make sense, as the Blood Troll NPC is wearing the set as it was intended to be worn.
This is because the Blood Troll NPCs use unique models, which allows the st’s bloody paint to appear on the feet. But unfortunately, playable race models are not coded to do that.
Will the bug be resolved?
Unfortunately, the Trolls’ feet will never be covered by the Blood Troll, set as this will require that the developers alter the code of the module.
Although it seems like a simple fix, it could take months for the developers to resolve this issue.
The glitch belt issue, however, is a known bug and it is alleged that Blizzard will resolve this issue as soon as possible.
If you are experiencing this bug, it is advisable that you report it to the game’s developers to make them aware of the issue.
