WoW: Gift of the White War Wolf

When you procure the Gift of the White War Wolf in WoW, you can gift it to a player from the opposite faction so that they can unlock the mount.

World of Warcraft (WoW) is an adventurous video game that invites players to explore the fictional realm of Azeroth. In addition to the main arcs, you can enjoy a variety of events and activities.

One of the activities that you can enjoy is the Time Rifts and completing it, you a chance to get the Gift of the White War Wolf.

Time Rifts

Time Rifts are essentially in-game events that were introduced with the 10.1.5 Fractures in Time mid-season update.

We recommend that you participate in this activity as you will earn a new currency if you do, which can be used to purchase cosmetic items.

Time Rifts occur at Tyrhold Reservoir, which can be found in Thaldraszus. When a Time Rift becomes active, an icon will appear on the map which indicates where you need to go.

But you can also discover a timer which tells you when the following event will happen.

Once the event has started, you can speak with the NPC, Soridormi, to begin. This activity consists of 2 phases with unique objectives to complete.

WoW: Gift of the White War Wolf

If you successfully complete a Time Rift, you will receive a variety of rewards. And although it is not guaranteed, you could obtain the Gift of the White War Wolf.

This item has caused some confusion among players, as they believe that they can use the item to collect the White War Wolf mount, however that is not the case.

When you obtain the Gift of the White War Wolf, you will notice that its description reads, “Teaches a player of the opposite faction how to summon the White War Wolf.”

Since this item only drops for Horde players, the Gift of the White War Wolf will teach a player of the Alliance faction how to use the White War Wolf mount.

Since you cannot sell this item on the Auction, we recommend that you find an Alliance player who is yet to collect the White War Wolf and gift it to them.

To do this, you have to target the other player and select the mount in your inventory to give it to them.

After gifting the Gift of the White War Wolf to an Alliance Player, the item will be in their inventory. The other player can use this item to unlock the Horde mount, White War Wolf.

Unfortunately, you cannot use the Gift of the White War Wolf on yourself regardless of whether you have collected the mount or not. Furthermore, the Alliance player that you gifted the White War Wolf to cannot return the item.

Gift of the Ravenous Black Gryphon

Since the Gift of the White War Wolf only drops for Horde players, there is a chance that Alliance players could receive the Gift of the Ravenous Black Gryphon when completing Time Rifts.

Although they are 2 different mounts, they function in the same way.

This means that an Alliance player can give the Gift of the Ravenous Black Gryphon to a Horde player, so many players therefore make deals to transfer the mounts to each other so that both parties can benefit from the transaction.

This essentially means that as a Horde player, you will receive the Ravenous Black Gryphon and the Alliance player will receive the White War Wolf mount.

Can a Horde player collect the White War Wolf mount?

Since the Gift of the White War Wolf does not allow a Horde player to collect the mount, several players have wondered if they are able to collect the mount via other methods.

Horde players can purchase the item with Paracausal Flakes, which you can get from completing Time Rifts events.

Keep in mind, however, that the mount costs approximately 3000 Paracausal Flakes. That being said, there is a chance that Horde players could get the White War Wolf mount as a drop from completing Time Rift events.

Riding

When you have used the White War Wolf item, you will unlock the mount. But keep in mind that only players who have reached the Apprentice Riding stage can use this mount to travel around the map in WoW.

Apprentice Riding allows you to ride ground mounts at 60 percent speed and can be trained once your character has reached level 20.

Gamers can purchase it for 5 gold and it can be discounted based on the reputation from any race’s faction trainer.
