The queue for Korrak’s Revenge in WoW is currently undergoing maintenance, and therefore, you cannot queue for it.
In this well-renowned video game, World of Warcraft (WoW), you can take control of a character to explore an open world, complete quests, defeat enemies, and interact with non-player characters.
Since WoW is a massively multiplayer role-playing game (MMORPG), you can also interact with players across the world.
WoW was released in 2004, and it has since received 8 major expansions that introduced new content to the game. To celebrate the game’s 18th Anniversary, Blizzard is hosting the 2022 Anniversary in-game event.
During the event, you can participate in Korrak’s Revenge, though many players have wondered how to queue for it.
WoW Anniversary Event 2022
The Anniversary event commenced on 6 November 2022, and will conclude on 27 November 2022. If you log into Shadowlands in this time, you will secure the 18th Anniversary achievement as well as several rewards.
Players can claim these rewards by opening their in-game mail. While the event is active, you can partake in many activities to earn Timewarped Badges, which you can use to purchase items from a new non-player character, Historian Ma’di.
You can also attempt to defeat classic opponents in the event, but bear in mind that these monsters will be removed from WoW when the event concludes.
WoW: How to queue for Korrak’s Revenge
Korrak’s Revenge is inspired by Alterac Valley, and it invites players to attack enemies and their fortifications. If you defeat an enemy, you can loot exchange tokens from their corpse to summon reinforcements.
All players who participate in Korrak’s Revenge and attain the Alterac Valley of Olde achievement will earn a mount. Alliance players receive the Stormpike Battle Ram, while Horde characters get the Frostwolf Snarler.
Many players have assumed that they will only obtain the mount that corresponds to their faction, but that is not the case. You will allegedly get both mounts when you complete the quest on 1 faction, but it is yet to be confirmed.
Players can participate in Korrak’s Revenge by clicking on the “H” key on their keyboard. In the menu, you have to click on “Korrak’s Revenge” to start the Classic Version of Alterac Valley.
Before you join the battle, it is recommended that you pick up the Soldier of Time quest. To complete this quest, you have to procure 500 Honor in Korrak’s Revenge to be rewarded with 10 Mark of Honor and 400 Timewarped Badges.
To earn the Alterac Valley of Olde achievement, players have to collect 200 Timewarped Badges, complete quests, and participate in Korrak’s Revenge. You have to earn this achievement before you can unlock your faction’s mount.
Queue bug
Some WoW players have revealed that they are unable to queue for Korrak’s Revenge. The game’s developer, Blizzard, announced that they have found an unfortunate bug with the activity and had to disable it from the game.
This means that players cannot enjoy Korrak’s Revenge until the bug has been repaired. Blizzard expects to fix the bug and re-open Korrak’s Revenge with the scheduled weekly maintenance on Tuesday, 8 November 2022.
If you are still unable to queue for Korrak’s Revenge after the maintenance, it is advisable that you log a ticket with Blizzard.
Blizzard update
After revealing that Korrak’s Revenge will be playable after the scheduled weekly maintenance, Blizzard explained that they have determined that the solution for Korrak’s Revenge is going to require both a client fix and a server fix.
Allegedly, the server fix has already been completed, but the overall restoration of Korrak’s Revenge requires a small client patch. Players can expect the patch to be released later in the week.
This has frustrated several players who are interested in completing the achievement, and obtaining the mounts. But do not fret, as you can unlock the mounts until 27 November 2022.
What is the best class for Korrak’s Revenge?
Since Korrak’s Revenge is a player-versus-player activity, you have to attempt to defeat other WoW players to loot their exchange tokens. Thus, you should use a character who is geared for PvP, otherwise, you will struggle with staying alive during the battle.
In other words, your class does not matter, as you can enter Korrak’s Revenge with any class, but it is recommended that you follow a PvP build for your class before you enter the battle.
Even though class does not have a significant effect on a battle, it is alleged that classes with stealth may have some advantages when moving around the map.
