WoW: Ukraine Pet

On Tuesday, 25 July 2023 Blizzard announced that players can join Mila Kunis in supporting BlueCheck and their mission to provide critical humanitarian relief in war-torn Ukraine.

If you want to support this cause, you can purchase a special, limited-time Pet Pack for Ukraine.

Blizzard revealed that it will donate all proceeds from its sales to this important cause. The package can be purchased in the in-game store for approximately $20.

If you purchase the Pet Pack, you will receive Sunny – a golden retriever pet, and Flurky, who is a murloc pet holding a sunflower, which is the national flower of Ukraine.

Keep in mind that only World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Classic players will receive Flurky, and World of Warcraft characters will get Sunny.

In order to support the cause even more, Blizzard has designed the 2 pets to match the colors of the Ukrainian flag.

Do the pets have special effects?

You may find that Sunny the golden retriever occasionally chases its tail or falls asleep if you take a break in your adventures. Flurky, on the other hand, is followed by a colorful flower trail as he toddles alongside you.

Players should note that these are the effects the Ukrainian Pets have and therefore, your character will not receive any unique buffs or benefits for purchasing the package.

Is it mandatory to purchase Ukrainian Pets?

Since the Ukrainian Pet Package can only be purchased with real money, it is not mandatory to purchase.

This is because the package does not have any influence on your character or on the main WoW story . Players can therefore purchase the item for cosmetic purposes.

That being said, the Pet Package is only available for purchase until Tuesday, 29 August 2023. This means that you have enough time to decide whether you want to purchase the limited-edition Pet Pack or not.

Making a donation

In addition to the Pet Pack for the Ukraine program, you will get the opportunity to donate to BlueCheck Ukraine via Battle.net when you are making any digital World of Warcraft purchase at checkout.

That being said, the donation is entirely optional, and if you choose to make a donation, you can decide how much money you want to donate.
