MSF: Spider Society

MSF’s Character and Combat Director recently announced that players will soon be able to collect the Spider Society team.

Scopely regularly introduces new characters and teams to Marvel Strike Force (MSF).

In a recent interview, one of the game’s developers revealed that players will soon be able to obtain the Spider Society team, which consists of Peter B. Parker, Ghost Spider and Spider-Man (Noir)

Character and Combat Director, Matt Sheets, revealed that Scopely is yet to announce the additional 2 characters that will join the Spider Society team.

Ghost Spider and Spider-Man (Noir) were previously added to MSF, however, their abilities will get a rework to prepare them for their new roles in the Spider Society team.

Most players will have Ghost Spider and Spider-Man (Noir) in their character collection, therefore we recommend that you increase their levels and upgrade their abilities before the rest of the Spider Society team is added to the game.

Matt also announced that this team will specialize in the Skill Lane of the Raid activity. Furthermore, all members of the Spider Society team will have a Dual Origins tag, which was introduced when the maximum level was increased.

When the team is introduced to the game, there will only be 5 characters with the Dual Origins tag, though we believe that Scopely will release additional characters with the new tag in the future.

Abilities

Scopely has yet to announce most of the team’s abilities since they are yet to be released. However, the table below lists Ghost Spider and Spider-Man (Noir)’s abilities which may change when the team is released:

Character Abilities
Ghost Spider
  • Lithe Spider: Steals 1 Evade from primary target. Also attacks the primary target for 270%damage.
  • Graceful Web: Attacks the primary target for 160%damage . She also has a 60%critical chance.
  • Web Snare: Attacks all enemies for 330%damage and spread all negative effects from the primary target to all secondary targets.
Spider-Man (Noir)
  • Put ‘Em Up: Attacks primary target for 300%damage and gain stealth
  • Chicago Typewriter: Attacks primary target for 300%piercing damage and apply Bleed.
  • Lead Rain: Attacks primary target for 350%damage and applies Bleed and Heal Block debuffs.

Which characters will join Spider Society?

As previously mentioned, 2 of the characters joining the Spider Society are unknown. However, when considering Marvel lore, there are various options that Scopely can introduce to the game to complete the team.

The team’s current members include Miguel O’Hara, Jessica Drew, Julia Carpenter, Ben Reilly, Kaine Parker, Ezekiel Sims, Spider-Plushie and Peter Parkedcar.

Unfortunately, MSF players will have to wait for Scopely to reveal the 2 characters that will join the team.

We recommend that you keep an eye on the official blog posts, which are released on the MSF website, for more information about the team. That being said, it is still undetermined when Scopely will announce the other 2 characters.

How to obtain the Spider-Society team

Ghost Spider and Spider-Man (Noir) will get a rework to prepare them for their new roles in the Spider Society team. Although most players will have them in their collection, there are some players who are still farming their character shards.

Players can acquire Ghost Spider’s shards by participating in the Blitz Arena, and Spider-Man (Noir) shards can be procured through Premium Orbs, Basic Orbs, Arena Orbs, Ultimus Orbs and from the Arena Store.

As for Peter B. Parker, we believe that MSF will host an in-game event which requires that players complete unique tasks to earn his character shards.

Alternatively, you may be able to spend real money to purchase him before the free-to-play players will be able to obtain him.

Since the 2 additional Spider Society characters are yet to be announced, it is impossible to determine how you can obtain them. However, you may also have to participate in an in-game event to earn their character shards.

Raid

MSF players can enjoy the Incursion Raids to earn rich rewards, however, to be successful in this activity, you need to use specific teams for every lane.

You have to progress through the Mystic, Tech, Mutant, Bio and Skill lanes to earn as many rewards as possible.

According to Matt Sheets, the Spider Society specializes in the Skill Lane of the Incursion Lane. It can therefore be said that you have to obtain them as quickly as possible if you want to complete the Skill Lane successfully.

It is unknown whether or not you will still be able to complete the Skill Lane if you do not use the Spider Society team.
