Intrepid Explorer commenced shortly after update 55 was released and it will conclude on Sunday, 25 June 2023.
The event’s official description reads, “A way home. We have been waiting for this moment for years. Why don’t I feel more enthusiastic.?” “Perhaps my mental discipline is rubbing off on you.”
During this time, players can score points for this event by completing Battle Pass events, Storyline Events and by spending Isolytic Artifact Tokens.
Players can collect Isolytic Artifact Tokens by winning events, but you can also purchase packages with real money, which contain certain quantities of Tokens.

Isolytic Artifact Tokens and Isolytic Damage
Players should note that the Isolytic Artifact Tokens are directly linked with the new damage type, Isolytic Damage.
Players can use their Isolytic Artifact Tokens to get access to Isolytic Damage. In simple terms, the Isolytic Artifact Tokens can be used to gain Isolytic Damage.
If you open your Artifact building, you will notice the Isolytic Artifact Restoration, which allows you to restore Isolytic Artifact Tokens, which can be used to unlock Isolytic Damage.
Isolytic Damage
Isolytic Damage is a new form of damage that functions alongside the standard damage types, kinetic and energy. It is calculated as a percentage of your overall standard damage, but it considers all applied buffs, not just the base weapon damage.
The new damage is calculated with the following formula: (Total Stand Damage x Isolytic Damage Bonus) divided by (1 + Opponents Isolytic Defense).
Players should note that enhancing their ship’s standard damage through research, officers, upgrades and similar means will also amplify the Isolytic Damage that it deals.

Afflicting Isolytic Damage
STFC players can acquire Isolytic Damage in various ways. During update 55, you can acquire the new damage type through Artifacts and Officers.
That being said, obtaining Isolytic Damage follows a similar process as procuring other buffs.
When you have inflicted Isolytic Damage, it remains active under the same circumstances as any other buff. For example, Officers are active while aboard your ship, while Artifacts remain active at all times after they are unlocked.
