You can inflict multiple ignites on an enemy in Path of Exile (PoE), but by default, only the strongest ignite actually deals damage, with Emberwake allowing for two ignites to deal damage simultaneously, or three with two Emberwakes. The number of ignites that can be applied to an enemy is not limited, but only the one with the highest damage per second will cause damage at any given moment.

1. Is ignite considered burning PoE?
Ignite is an elemental ailment which deals fire damage over time and is applied from hits with fire damage, and while all fire DoT effects are burning damage, not all of them are ignite.
2. Does increased fire damage affect ignite PoE?
Increased fire damage does not affect ignite, as ignite is calculated before the increased damage to the hit.
3. What is the minimum duration of ignite PoE?
The minimum effective duration of ignite is 300ms / 0.3s, and if an application of ignite has a lower duration, it does not apply.
4. Can you apply an additional ignite PoE?
You can inflict an additional Ignite on an Enemy, and Emberwake allows for two ignites to deal damage simultaneously, or three with two Emberwakes.
5. How much damage does ignite do?
Ignites target enemy champion, dealing 70-410 true damage over 5 seconds and reduces healing effects on the target for the duration.
6. How does ignite work in Poe?
Ignite is based on the hit’s base damage, meaning that it isn’t affected by things that would only boost the hit, and ignite is an ailment, not a spell.
7. How do you calculate ignite damage in Poe?
Burning Damage for Ignite starts out at 20% of the hit per second, for 4 seconds, for a total of 80% of the original hit.
8. Does crit work with ignite?
Critical Strike Multiplier does not affect Ignite damage, unless the player has Perfect Agony keystone.

Cold Damage can ignite with Hrimburn, which allows the player’s cold damage to ignite enemies, in addition to freezing and chilling.

13. Can righteous fire hit you in PoE?
RF does not “hit”, so it cannot ignite anyway, and although RF is a spell, its damage is a “de-buff” not spell damage.
14. Can you cleanse ignite damage?
Cleanse will remove any and all of the following effects: Ignite, Exhaust, Blinds, Charm, Fear, Movement Slows, Polymorph, Silences, Snares, Stuns and Taunts.
15. Does ignite affect heal?
Ignite deals gradual damage over a set time, during which its target is inflicted with Grievous Wounds, reducing all incoming healing by 50%.
