The Wardens Calling, also known as the Long Walk, is a ritual created by the first Grey Wardens to prevent future members from watching themselves ultimately succumb to the darkspawn taint, and it is a call that all darkspawn hear which causes them to seek out and unearth an Old God, tainting it and turning it into an Archdemon, thus starting a Blight.
