The item that makes Scyther evolve is a Metal Coat, which is used in conjunction with trading the Scyther to another player, triggering its evolution into Scizor. This process involves giving the Scyther the Metal Coat to hold and then trading it with a friend, after which it will evolve into Scizor, a Bug/Steel-type Pokémon.
Understanding the Evolution Process
To evolve Scyther into Scizor, players must first obtain a Metal Coat. This item can be purchased from Delibird Presents in Levincia once the player has earned three Gym Badges, costing 3,000 dollars. After acquiring the Metal Coat, players need to give it to their Scyther to hold and then find a friend to trade with. The act of trading Scyther while it is holding the Metal Coat triggers its evolution into Scizor.
