Introduction to PS3
The PS3 was a significant leap forward in gaming technology, offering backward compatibility with PS2 games, a feature that, although later removed to reduce costs, highlighted Sony’s commitment to preserving gaming heritage. Its launch was followed by a mixed reception, partly due to its high initial price point of $499 and $599 for different models, which made it a considerable investment for gamers.
