Players can obtain a daily red border weapon from Destiny 2 seasonal vendors if they meet the necessary requirements.
Destiny 2 is a free-to-play, online, multiplayer, first-person shooter video game that is set in a mythic science-fiction world. As the Guardian of the world, you have to protect Earth’s last safe city from alien races.
To aid you in this task, you have to procure weapons. Destiny recently announced that players can collect a red border weapon daily to prepare for the new expansion, Lightfall.
Destiny 2: Lightfall
The expansion’s description reads, ”Shattered glass glints in the starlight. Soldiers of the Shadow Legion battle with Guardians under the unmistakable shadows of the fleet overhead – the Witness and its newest Disciple are here.”
Amid the chaos, players can start a journey that will reveal the hidden threads that begin them, the ability to unravel them, and the mastery to weave them anew.
With this new power in hand, you have to find strength in your fellow Guardians and triumph in the face of impossibility, Legendary mode returns.
Lightfall is set to launch on Tuesday, 28 February 2023.
Destiny 2: Daily red border
In preparation for the new season, Bungie, the game’s developer, announced that the weekly Deepsight weapon focusing from the Exo Frame at the H.E.L.M will be adjusted to daily availability for the remainder of the season.
This is meant to help players craft those final weapons before Lightfall arrives. This also applies to vendors who offer guaranteed Deepsight weapons focusing from Seasons 16 to 18. A Deepsight weapon is indicated by a red border.
Players can therefore obtain 1 Red Border weapon daily to prepare for the Lightfall season. Getting a red border weapon to drop is critical for players who want to take advantage of the game’s weapon crafting system.
The only way to earn a weapon’s pattern and craft it is to dismantle 3 to 5 Deepsight variants of it.
Since weapon crafting allows you to choose the perks you want, getting many patterns guarantees that you will have a vast and diverse collection of perfectly-tuned weapons ready when the new season begins.
Allegedly, you are now guaranteed to get 4 red border drops, one from each of the four seasonal vendors in the H.E.L.M daily.
However, you still have to farm Umbral Engrams, Legendary Shards, and every season’s specific Umbral Energy to procure a red border weapon. Fortunately, these resources can be collected easily.
This change makes it significantly easier for Destiny 2 players to procure the weapon patterns that they need to prepare for Lightfall’s release.
Season 16 to Season 19’s weapons
If you want to take advantage of guaranteed red border drops that focus on season 16 to season 19, you need to have purchased every season’s Season Pass when it was available, or you need to own the Deluxe Edition of Destiny 2: The Witch Queen.
Moreover, you need the War Table’s Deepsight Requisition Upgrade, the Crown of Sorrow’s Focusing Deepsight upgrade, the Star Chart’s Double Perk Weapon Spoils upgrade, and the Exo Frame’s Focusing Deepsight upgrade.
If you do not meet these requirements, you will not get access each seasonal vendor’s daily red border drops.
Weapon crafting
Weapon crafting in Destiny 2 allows you to unlock the memories of weapons and to use Patterns to Shape and Reshape unique weapon options.
In The Witch Queen, players could unlock the Deepsight ability, which allows you to see and interact with hidden objects, including memories of weapons.
To unlock Deepsight and start weapon crafting, you have to play through the first few missions of The Witch Queen campaign on Savathun’s Throne World.
These missions are free to all players, however, you have to ensure that you meet the above-mentioned requirements before investing the time to unlock Deepsight.
Unlocking Deepsight awakens Resonant red-bordered weapons and activates latent features of others across the system.
Which weapons should you have before Lightfall launches?
There are numerous red border weapons that you can acquire before Lightfall launches. It is advisable that you obtain the grenade launcher and the bow from the Season of the Risen.
You should also collect the SMG, trace rifle, and the sidearm from the Season of the Haunted.
From the Season of the Plunder, you can collect the scout rifle and the slug shotgun. Lastly, you have to get the SMG, LMG, and the glaive from the Season of the Seraph.
Allegedly, the SMGs from the Season of the Haunted and the Season of Seraph are the best of all of these weapons.
That being said, you do not only have to pick a few guns because you can get a guaranteed weapon pattern every single day for the next month. However, this means that you have to log one every day to procure the patterns.
