MSF: Cosmic Crucible season 2

MSF recently announced that the second season of Cosmic Crucible has been launched and players can earn numerous rewards for competing in it.

In this adventurous video game, Marvel Strike Force (MSF), you can immerse yourself in the fictional Marvel Universe. You have to collect characters to participate in a range of game modes, all of which feature powerful enemies.

One of the game modes that you can enjoy is Cosmic Crucible, and its second season was recently released.

What is Cosmic Crucible?

Cosmic Crucible is a Swiss-Style Tournament in which you are matched against a different player each trial. The Tournaments are part of a season, and every season has distinct room rules and unique rewards.

A tournament consists of 3 trials, and each one lasts 24 hours. In this time, you have to attack the six defences of your opponent.

Each enemy character elimination is considered knocked out (K.O). Bear in mind that you have a limited number of attacks for each room.

It is noteworthy that Commanders which are level 60 or higher will be grouped into 8-person brackets, which is determined by their Tribunal Rating and Total Collection Power.

MSF: Cosmic Crucible season 2

On Wednesday, 18 January 2023, MSF announced that they have been working on preparing for the next season of Cosmic Crucible.

The second season officially launched on Friday, 20 January 2023 and the rewards for the first season were delivered after the launch of the second season.

With the second season, there are some updated rewards that will be implemented after the season begins. Gamers should thus note that the number of Crucible Credits that they earn from K.Os will increase based on your current League.

However, the increased rewards require a new game client. This means that the changes will not come into effect until version 6.7 is released.

It is important to familiarise yourself with season 2’s room rules. The following table lists the rules for every stage, as well as the global rules:

Cosmic Crucible rewards

MSF players should keep in mind that rewards are granted based on their division. The higher your placement is, the more rewards you will receive.

You can advance to the next division by achieving high rankings in Tournaments, which increases your Tribunal Rating.

Every K.O in a match will reward you with Crucible Credits, which can be spent in the Crucible Store. You can purchase Teal, Orange, and Purple gear pieces, amongst others.

You can earn additional Crucible Credits and Elite Crucible Credits from your placement at the end of each Tournament, and at the end of the season.

It is worth noting that you will only get your Cosmic Crucible rewards when season 2 concludes, as these rewards are based on your performance during the season.
