Destiny 2: Exotic Fish Pond

The Exotic Fish Pond in Destiny 2 changes location every week, so players have to visit every fishing spot to find it.

Players can assume the role of a Guardian in this imaginative role-playing game, Destiny 2. It is now up to you to protect Earth’s last safe city from terrifying foes.

The game’s latest season, Season of the Deep, introduced several new features, including fishing. One of the fishing tasks requires that you fish in an Exotic Fish pond.

Destiny 2: Exotic Fish Pond

Fishing in Destiny 2 is fairly straightforward if you know how the fishing mechanics function and where the fishing ponds are.

Fishing ponds appear almost like public events at 3 specific locations, namely, Nessus, the EDZ and the Throne World.

On a Reddit forum, one player revealed that they acquired a quest in which they had to fish at an Exotic Fish Pond. However, none of the fishing ponds at the 3 locations are considered Exotic Fish Ponds.

This has caused some confusion among players as they are unsure about how to complete the quest.

If you visit each of the 3 fishing ponds, a text will appear near the pond. The text you are looking for is “Fishing Pond (Exotic),” When you find the text, you have to catch fish from that location to complete the quest.

How to catch Exotic Fish

Exotic fish are the most desirable fish in Destiny 2, however, they are extremely rare. Players can increase their odds of catching an exotic fish by taking advantage of the Focused Fishing meter.

This meter fills up more every time you or someone near you catches a legendary or exotic fish.

As the meter fills, the chances of catching a legendary or exotic fish increase. Keep in mind that filling the Focused Fishing meter takes time, especially when the chances of catching a legendary or exotic fish are low.

Do you need bait?

Players can complete the Exotic Fish Pond quest without bait, though bait can increase your chances of catching higher-rarity fish. We therefore recommend that you use bait while completing the Exotic Fish Pond task.

Bait will automatically be used for fishing if you have some in your inventory. Destiny 2 players can earn bait by completing certain activities, including the new Salvage and Deep Dive modes.

However, you can also procure bait from patrols, public events and playlist activities.

Does the Exotic Fish Pond remain the same?

The location of the Exotic Fish Pond allegedly changes weekly. This means that even if the Exotic Fish Pond is in EDZ this week, it may be in Nessus or Throne World the following week.

Thus, gamers should check all 3 fishing ponds to know which pond is the Exotic Fish Pond.
