A fishing macro in Destiny 2 can simplify the fishing process, however, it should not give you a fishing advantage as your account can be banned.
Destiny 2 takes place in a mythic, science fiction world in which you can complete quests, defeat enemies and enjoy activities.
Bungie, the game’s developer, recently added fishing to the game, but some players have wondered if there is a macro to make the activity easier.
Destiny 2: Fishing Macro
In order to fish in Destiny 2, you simply have to stand on one of the makeshift docks at a fishing location and hold your interact button to cast a line into the water.
When a fish grabs it, the lure will go under the water and a message will appear on the screen.
You can reel in the fish by clicking your interact button again. Although it is a simple activity, it can take some time to cast a line and to reel in the fish. Therefore, some players have expressed their desire for a fishing macro.
Macros are shortcuts that allow players to bypass the actions needed for a multi-step process with the push of a single button. A fishing macro will enable you to catch fish much quicker, however, there are no fishing macros available.
What is Bungie’s policy on macros?
Most video game developers have banned the use of macros as they give players an unfair advantage over players who do not use macros. Some gamers have revealed that they have been banned from a video game for using macros.
Allegedly, Bungie allows the use of macros if it does not give you an unfair advantage over other players. This includes titan skating, warlock skating and mass-deleting items from your inventory, amongst other things.
However, Bungie banned macros that give you an advantage, such as an aim-boot, graphics hack and network accelerators.
It can therefore be assumed that using a fishing macro is permissible, as it only simplifies the fishing process without adjusting the rarity of the fish that you catch.
When will a fishing macro become available?
Most Destiny 2 macros are created by players and not by Bungie. If you are interested in a fishing macro, you can either create one or wait for another player to design a macro and use it.
It is impossible to know when a fishing macro will become available, as it is not publicly announced.
However, you can ask your in-game friends if they use a fishing macro or know someone who can design one.
Should you use a fishing macro?
Players should be careful about installing a macro to Destiny 2. Some macros, including a simple fishing macro, may give you an unfair advantage and you could get banned.
However, if the fishing macro only simplifies the fishing process, you can use it as it does not give you an unfair advantage.
