One of these activities is the Guardian Games. This activity contains several sub-activities, one of which is In it to Win It.
How to join Guardian Games
In order to participate in Guardian Games 2023, players have to complete a quest which can be obtained from Eva Levante, who is in The Tower. Eva will give you a new Guardian Games Item, which is based on your class.
You have to equip this item for the duration of the event as it is the only way to earn Medallions when you are completing activities. After completing the quest, you can start working on the challenges associated with the Guardian Games.
Although you can play Destiny 2 as normal, we recommend that you participate in the event to earn rewards.
Destiny 2: In It To Win It
Guardian Games pits the 3 classes against one another in a quest for Guardian supremacy. Like other activities in the game, Guardian Games has a brand new seal associated with it.
Gamers who acquire this seal and the seals from the other 3 events in Destiny 2 will be able to unlock the new Reveler title.
For the Guardian Games, you need to complete 16 of the 20 available triumphs. Keep in mind that you also need to complete the other events to claim the title. One of the triumphs that players can complete during the Guardian Games is In It To Win It.
To complete this triumph, you simply have to earn a Medallion from activity completions and bank it at the podium, which is in The Tower.
Once you have banked your Medallion, you will receive rewards and contribute to the class points. The class with the most points at the end of the event will win Guardian supremacy.
As previously explained, Medallions can be procured by completing any activity in Destiny 2, however, you need to ensure that you have your Guardian Games Class Item equipped.
If you participate in an activity and you forgot to equip your Guardian Games Class Item, you will not receive any rewards.
Players can randomly obtain either a Bronze or Silver Medallion. However, by completing Contender Cards, you can earn Gold and Platinum Medallions.
Since In It To Win It does not specify which Medallion you have to get, you can procure a Bronze or Silver Medallion as they are easier to collect than a Gold and Platinum Medallion.
How to acquire a Bronze or Silver Medallion
The quickest way to get Bronze or Silver Medallions in Guardian Games is to complete the lower-level matches and playlists. Players can therefore complete Vanguard, Crucible and Gambit games to obtain Medallions.
It is crucial that you equip your Guardian Games Class Item before participating in one of those activities. If you do not wear the item, you will not receive a Medallion and you will have to repeat the activity.
The Crucible is a player-versus-player activity where you have to vanquish other Destiny 2 players. Vanguard on the other hand includes standard strikes and battleground activity.
However, you can also participate in Nightfalls, which is a more difficult version of a strike with higher power requirements, modifiers and better rewards.
Triumphs
In addition to completing In It To Win It, you need to complete 15 additional triumphs to meet the requirements for the title. You can complete some of the following:
