Destiny 2 players currently have the opportunity to vote for their favorite ornament for the exotic weapon, Witherhoard.
As a Guardian, you have to protect the planet’s last safe city from horrifying enemies in this venturesome video game, Destiny 2.
Players you will occasionally have the opportunity to vote on certain aspects, such as the Witherhoard Ornament.
Destiny 2: Witherhoard Ornament Vote
In April 2023, Bungie, the game’s developer, requested that players vote on which of 3 exotic weapons they thought would receive a brand new ornament as part of Bungie’s current community vote.
With a whopping 45 percent of the vote, Witherhoard took out both Izanagi’s Burden and Thunderlord.
The next step was to collaborate with a chosen community artist to start working on some unique designs for the Witherhoard.
Players can now view the 3 designs and vote for their favorite design. The design with the most votes will win and will be implemented in Destiny 2.
To vote for your favorite design, you can check your emails as the developer sent out emails to all players with a link to vote.
Alternatively, you can visit the official Bungie website to find the link which allows you to vote for your favorite design.
Players should vote for their favorite Witherhoard design before Thursday, 13 July 2023, as the voting will close then.
When will the new Witherhoard Ornament be in Destiny 2?
In an official Destiny 2 announcement, Bungie reminded players of the voting process.
As soon as you the concept is chosen and it is ready to go into production, it will take some time to move through the content pipeline. This essentially means that the ornament will not appear in Destiny 2 until The Final Shape.
Unfortunately, Bungie cannot announce an official date for when the new Witherhoard Ornament will be added to the game.
Who can vote for the Witherhoard design?
Essentially, all Destiny 2 players can vote for their favorite Witherhoard Ornament design. There are no level or class requirements, but your account must be registered with Bungie if you are using the link emailed to you to vote.
That being said, players can vote for their favorite design on the official Bungie website without having their account registered to an email account. On the website, you can view all 3 designs before you vote for your favorite.
What is an ornament?
Players can now vote for their favorite Ornament on the Witherhoard weapon, though some players are unsure what an ornament is.
Ornaments are items which may be spent to change the appearance of certain pieces of gear and weapons. Applying an ornament to an item may change its color, add features or enable visual effects.
Destiny 2 players should note that applying an ornament to a weapon or gear piece does not unlock bonuses or buffs.
