Diablo Immortal: Double Gem Event

During Diablo Immortal’s Mirrored Jewels Elder Rift Enhancement event, you will earn double the amounts of gems in Elder Rifts

On Monday, 29 January 2024 Blizzard released an update for Diablo Immortal, which introduced the Tong-Shi’s Renewal limited-time event and a new battle pass.

Players can also enjoy the Howler Hunt limited-time event, several returning events and a Reigning Harmony Phantom Market.

According to the update, you can also participate in the Mirrored Jewels Elder Rift Enhancement feature, which will begin on Friday, 9 February 2024.

While this event is active, you can toggle on Mirrored Jewels before you begin an Elder Rift Run.

Every Legendary Gem you then receive as a reward during that run will be accompanied by an additional random Legendary Gem of the same type and random quality.

Keep in mind, though, that the probability of receiving Legendary Gems from the activity remains the same.

This simply means that your chances of receiving a Legendary Gem from an Elder Rift Run are not increased. However, when you do receive a Legendary Gem, you will get an additional Legendary gem.

Several players therefore refer to the Mirrored Jewels Elder Rift Enhancement feature as the Double Gem vent, as it yields double Gems.

Blizzard encourages players to activate Mirrored Jewels on runs using 10 Legendary Crests  to maximize their chances of getting a Legendary Gem.

Legendary Crests are used to empower Elder Rifts in the game and are a major means of acquiring Legendary Gems. An Elder Rift empowered with 1-3 Legendary Crests is guaranteed to drop 1 Legendary Gem per Legendary Crests.

If you use 10 Legendary Crests, there is a chance that you will receive 10 Legendary Gems, but with the double gem event, you will essentially earn 20 Legendary Gems.

Legendary Gems

Legendary Gems provide your character with Combat Rating, Resonance as well as some unique effects.

There are several Legendary Gems that you can acquire during the Double Gem Event, some of which are listed below:

Legendary Gem Description
Berserker’s Eye
  • Increases all damage that you deal by 5.5%
  • Increases all damage that you take by 5%
Bloody Reach
  • Increases all damage that you deal by 2% for every 2 yards between you and the enemy hit, up to a maximum of 4% at 8 yards
The Abiding Curse
  • There is a 15% chance that your attacks will curse enemies, reducing their Attack and Movement speeds by 35% for 2.5 seconds
Blood-Soaked Jade
  • Increases all damage that you deal by up to 8% while at full Life
  • Increases Movement Speed by 10%

Elder Rifts

To participate in the Double Gem event, you need to have access to the Elder Rift activity. The objective of the activity is to complete it as quickly as possible.

Players should remember that the Elder Rifts are procedurally generated and contain numerous enemies that must be defeated.

After a certain period of time in the rift, you will be notified that the Rift Guardian has found you. Players then have to defeat the mini-boss to earn a chest full or rewards.

It is worth noting that the mini-boss battles will also change every time you enter the activity, however, these enemies have more health than the other enemies in the Rift.

It may take you longer to vanquish the mini-boss, but we recommend that you destroy it before the timer depletes. If you manage to vanquish the boss before the timer runs out, you will get additional rewards.

Legendary Crests

Crests are considered the most important type of material in Diablo Immortal, as they allow you to increase modifiers and rewards for the Elder Rifts and Challenge Rifts.

In order to maximize the number of Legendary Gems that you can earn from the Elder Rifts, you have to use Legendary Crests.

Unfortunately, Legendary Crests are quite difficult to procure since the Hilts Trader only sells 1 per month. Players can also acquire Legendary Crests from the Battle Pass Rewards, however, it is even less frequent to the Hilts Trader.

This means that you will have to purchase Legendary Crests using microtransactions if you are interested in obtaining additional Gems.

When does the Double Gem event conclude?

As previously mentioned, the Double Gem event will commence on Friday, 9 February 2024, however, Diablo Immortal players only have until Tuesday, 13 February 2024 to enjoy the event.

This unfortunately means that players who do not have enough Legendary Crests may not benefit as much from this event as players who stacked up their Legendary Crests.
