Some Diablo Immortal server clusters have been experiencing a gem exploit bug since season 19 of the game was implemented
Diablo Immortal is an adventurous video game that invites players to uncover the untold history of what took place between Diablo II and Diablo III.
To progress in the game, you have to slay demons, complete quests and travel through Sanctuary to obtain shattered fragments of the Worldstone.
Gem Exploit
You can acquire a variety of gems to improve your character’s capabilities. Season 19 of Diablo Immortal was released on Monday, 23 October 2023, which means that the game was offline for a while for the new season to be implemented.
Unfortunately, this update also implemented numerous bugs, one of which is a gem exploit. According to YouTuber, Echo Gaming Diablo, some Diablo Immortal servers clusters are experiencing a gem exploit issue.
Normally, players can purchase Gems from the in-game shop in exchange for Platinum, which is the game’s premium currency. Echo Gaming Diablo disclosed that he is able to purchase a Rank 1 Citrine for 306 Platinum.
However, another player revealed that he is able to purchase 975 Rank 5 Citrine for 8100 Platinum, which indicates that he is experiencing the gem exploit on his server. Allegedly, some players are using this exploit to their advantage.
Players can access the in-game shop without going to the vendor and when entering some spectator mode while in the market, they can adjust the number of gems that they are selling after using certain keys on their keyboard.
With this exploit, you can duplicate the number of gems they are selling in the market.
For example, if you are selling 40 gems, you will sell 80 gems after using the specific key combination.
Gem prices
Players who are experiencing the gem exploit on their servers recently shared the gem prices with players who are not experiencing the issue.

Why are players abusing the gem exploit?
As previously mentioned, Diablo Immortal players can duplicate gems due to a gem exploit on certain servers.
These gems are not actually in the players’ inventories, however, they are entering a certain button combination to increase the number of gems they are selling.
According to Echo Gaming Diablo, players are selling the gems with the gem exploit to power up their account.
Much to players’ surprise, the gem exploit does not focus on the rare and legendary Gems, as most of the gems being sold are normal gems.
Echo Gaming Diablo believes this is mostly due to the fact that the price of upgrading normal gems becomes more expensive as your character levels up.
Players can now purchase normal gems at a cheap price, which allows them to upgrade the gems that they already equipped much quicker.
Should you participate in the gem exploit?
It is essential to note that there is a chance that your server will not have the gem exploit, which means that you cannot enjoy the benefits of the bug.
However, even if your server has the gem exploit issue, we highly recommend that you do not participate in this bug.
This is because Diablo Immortal’s developer, Blizzard, may be able to track down all the players who used this bug to their advantage and ban their accounts.
This essentially means that you will no longer be able to play Diablo Immortal. However, there is also a chance that Blizzard will not ban any accounts, as the bug was implemented with the recent update.
When will the gem exploit bug be resolved?
At the time of writing, Blizzard is yet to address the gem exploit bug that some servers of Diablo Immortal are experiencing.
However, some players believe that the developers will resolve this issue as quickly as possible, as it is giving some players an unfair advantage over those who are not experiencing the bug.
