Diablo Immortal: Jingun

During Diablo Immortal’s Tong-Shi event, players will get the opportunity to vanquish the Eater of Mountains, Jingun

Blizzard regularly releases new in-game events and updates for Diablo Immortal. On Monday, 29 January 2024 Diablo Immortal released the Tong Shi update, which introduced a limited-time event, a new battle pass and region-specific game additions.

Tong-Shi has invited players to his Renewal, a call to bask in the fading glow of a finished year and begin the cycle anew. The event began on Wednesday, 31 January 2024, and it will conclude on Sunday, 25 February 2024.

During this time players have to complete 5 tasks a day to earn festive rewards, such as Red Bags and Tysem.

These 5 tasks include completing dungeons, progressing through Elder Rifts, vanquishing elite monsters, completing Bounties and defeating Jingun.

That being said, Jingun will only become available to destroy on Friday, 9 February 2024. The announcement also revealed that from Wednesday, 31 January 2024 you can collaborate with other players to hunt down Jingun.

While the hunt for the Eater of Mountains is active, you can complete a daily task which transports you to outside the world of Sanctuary. In this mysterious area, you have to find the Signs of Jingun, which rewards you with Scrap, Gold and Dust.

When Jingun has been found on Thursday, 8 February 2024, players will be able to claim 3 Rare Crests and start creating raids to fight him. The first time you defeat Jingun, you will receive 1 Telluric Pearl and a random Legendary item.

Finding Jingun

As previously mentioned, you have to complete a task that teleports you outside of Sanctuary to locate Signs of Jingun. If you find the Signs of Jingun, you will receive an abundance of rewards.

The announcement indicated that you will only be able to find Jingun on Thursday 8 February 2024, which means that you currently cannot find out how to find Jingun.

On the official Diablo Immortal Discord Server, a player named StayPRO, believes that you can find Jingun in Bilefen. Since this is purely a theory, there is a possibility that you will not find Jingun in Bilefen.

The announcement also revealed that you will only be able to vanquish Jingun from Friday, 9 February 2024. We thus recommend that you attempt to find Jingun once he has been officially released in Diablo Immortal.

Jingun’s Location

According to the announcement released on Monday, 29 January 2024, Jingun will only be added to Diablo Immortal on Friday, 9 February 2024.

However, various players believe that Jingun will be available to fight from Thursday, 8 February 2024.

Since Jingun has yet to be added to the game, we do not know the exact spawn location. However, we believe that Jingun’s location will be released once he is officially added to Diablo Immortal.

Red Bags and Tysem

If you defeat Jingun and complete the other tasks, you will receive Red Bags and Tysem. Red Bags are celebratory rewards which can be given to a friend or to your Clan.

Players will not only receive rewards when they open Red Bags which were sent to them, but they will also receive rewards for sending Red Bags.

You can spread the blessings of Tong-Shri’s Renewal by sending and receiving as many Red Bags as you can get your hands on. Keep in mind, however, that you can claim a free Red Bag every day from your log-in rewards.

Tysem, on the other hand, can be contributed to receive a random reward, including Gold, Scrap, Dust, Glowing Shards and Gems. But when you turn in multiple Tysem it will combine multiple quantities of the same reward.

For example, if you contribute 10 Tysem, you will receive 50 gold. Each Tysem that you turn in during the event contributes 500 Gold to the Trove.

The Trove will grant double the Gold deposited if it is claimed after Saturday, 17 February 2024.
