Evony: Age 1 can no longer be played as Adobe retired the Flash Player, however, you can use an older operating system to play the game
Evony is a popular multiplayer online game that takes place in the European medieval time period. You can enjoy 2 browser-based games and a mobile version. One of the browser-based games that you can play is Evony Age 1.
Unlike the mobile version of Evony, Age 1 cannot be downloaded onto a mobile phone or personal computer (PC).
Players therefore have to open their web browser to play Evony: Age 1. When you open the Evony website, you have to log into your Evony account to play the game.
Existing players can simply enter their details to play while new players have to create an account to play. By clicking on the “Play”, a new web page will open, and you will be able to play Evony Age 1.
The website will display a notification that ‘Adobe Flash Player’ is required to run the browser-based video game. If you do not have this application installed on your PC, you will not be able to play Age 1.
Fortunately, you can install ‘Adobe Flash Player’ on your PC by selecting the ‘Get Flash’ option, which is at the top of your browser.

After selecting the ‘Get Flash’ option on the Evony: Age 1 web browser, you will discover that Adobe has retired Flash, which means that the support for Flash ended on 31 December 2020.
This essentially means that you cannot play Evony: Age 1 since Adobe retired the Flash player, which is necessary to run the game.
However, you can install a VM player, such as Virtualbox or VMWare to run an older operating system which has the flash player installed. You will then be able to play Evony: Age 1 on your personal computer.
Evony: Age 1 gameplay
Evony: The King’s Return and Evony: Age 1 follows the same gameplay. You therefore have to assume the role of a lord or lady of a city or alliance to expand your keep.
If you collect resources, vanquish enemies from the world map and train troops, you can progress in the game.
You have to set tax rates, production and construction, but keep in mind that you have to procure a variety of resources in order to construct new buildings.
Evony Monarchs must increase the city’s population and hourly production rates before starting to build resource fields and training your army.
How many buildings do you need?
In order to expand your city, you have to construct buildings. We recommend that you construct the following buildings:

| Barracks | You need approximately 10 to 12 of these buildings as you will be able to train troops faster |
| Cottages | Monarchs must build between 8 and 10 Cottages |
| Sawmills | To increase your lumber production, we recommend that you construct 6 Sawmills |
| Farms | You only have to build 2 Farms as you can sell your Lumber to buy food |
