Evony players’ Monarch levels can be higher than their Keep levels, however, your Generals’ levels cannot be higher than your Monarch levels.
In Evony: The King’s Return, you can increase your Keep’s level as well as your Monarch level. It is worth noting that your Keep level and your Monarch level are different features of the game.
This also means that you have to perform certain tasks to increase your Keep’s level as well as the level of your Monarch.
Several players have questioned whether their Monarch level can be higher than their Keep’s level or not.
Since the Monarch level and the Keep level are 2 different aspects of Evony, your Monarch level can allegedly be higher than your Keep level.
To increase your Keep level, you have to upgrade buildings and complete research aspects in your Academy.
However, to increase your Monarch level, you have to use Monarch Experience items, which can be procured through normal gameplay.
That being said, your Monarch level determines your Generals’ maximum level. This means that if you are level 15, your Generals’ level cannot be increased to level 20. It is therefore crucial that you increase your Monarch level regularly.
You should keep in mind that the higher your Monarch level is, the more Experience scrolls you need to increase your level.
How to increase your Monarch level
There are various methods that you can follow to quickly increase your Monarch level, however, the best way to increase your Monarch level is offering Gems or Tributes at your Shrine.
If you perform 151 offers at your level 35 Shrine, you will receive more than 7 million Monarch Experience, which will give your Monarch level an instant boost.
Alternatively, you can participate in the Crazy Eggs event and defeat Hydra monsters and other resources at a level 13 or higher resource tile.
General level
Once you have increased your Monarch level, you will be able to increase your Generals’ levels, which will boost their statistics and abilities. Your Generals’ strength therefore depends on your Monarch level.
Players should increase their Monarch level regularly to ensure that their Generals become more powerful.
How to increase your Keep level
Similar to other buildings in your empire, your Keep has several requirements that must be met for it to be upgraded. To upgrade your Keep to level 15, you need to upgrade your Trap Factory and Walls to level 14.
You also need 1.5 million of each resource to begin the upgrade. It can therefore be said that increasing your Keep level can take much longer than upgrading your Monarch level.
