Your Assistant Generals in Evony will receive experience points after every activity, however, they will not receive any loot.
Evony: The King’s Return gamers have to expand their General collection on a regular basis to ensure that they have the best Generals for their troops.
Although every General in Evony has unique skills, you can assign an Assistant General to your main General to unlock a variety of buffs and bonuses.
If you send your Generals to lead armies to an attack or to gather resources, your General will receive a specific quantity of General Experience Points. Once a General has gained enough Experience Points, they will advance to the next level.
Several players have wondered whether or not the Assistant Generals will also receive Experience Points after attacking an enemy or returning from gathering resources.
It is believed that your Assistant Generals will receive Experience Points, but they will not earn any drops or points when you send your troops out to complete a Rally.
You can therefore increase your Assistant Generals’ levels on a regular basis if you use them enough as they receive Experience Points for every activity that you complete.
Requirements
It is worth noting that not every Main General can receive an Assistant General to unlock additional buffs and bonuses.
To assign an Assistant General to a Main General, the Main General must be at least level 20 and they need a star-rating of 3 or higher.
If your Main General meets the requirements, you can assign an Assistant General to them. This can be done in the same menu in which you select the troops that you want to send to complete the activity.
It is highly likely that you will see a General already assigned as the Assistant to your Main General, but we recommend that you choose another Assistant General.

Players should note that Assistant Generals specialize in specific activities. This means that the best Assistant Generals for Gathering are not necessarily the best Assistant Generals for Ranged Troops.
