Players can donate resources to their Alliance’s Science category to receive various bonuses and unlock Alliance Skills.
Evony: The King’s Return is an adventurous video game that allows players to build their own empire from scratch.
As the lord or lady of a keep, you have to complete missions, construct buildings and harvest resources to progress in the game. If you are part of an Alliance, you can donate resources.
How to join an Alliance
An Alliance is a group of players who collaborate to enjoy Evony together. Members of an Alliance can engage with each other in a private chat feature which can only be accessed if you are part of the Alliance.
Furthermore, you can enjoy Alliance-exclusive activities and request help when required. To join an Alliance, you have to select the Alliance icon, which can be found on the right side of the screen.
There are several Alliances that you can join, however, you have to apply to become a member of an Alliance. The Alliance officers can either decline or accept your application.
Evony: Donate
Once you are part of an Alliance in Evony, you can enjoy exclusive activities while engaging with like-minded players. In the Alliance menu, players can find a list of Alliance-exclusive features, one of which is Alliance Science.
If you select the Alliance Science option, you will be able to see the Alliance Points and Alliance Honor. Moreover, you can find numerous buffs and bonuses that Alliances can unlock.
To unlock these bonuses, Alliances members have to donate a specific quantity of materials. The following table lists the donate options for a Level-1 Alliance City:
Feature | Increase | Required quantity | Quantity that you can donate |
Alliance Capacity I | 0 to 10 | 16 000 | 5 000 Food |
Construction Speed I | 0 percent to 1 percent | 16 000 | 5 000 Lumber |
Research Speed I | 0 percent to 1 percent | 16 000 | 5 000 Food |
Ranged Troop Attack I | 0 percent to 1 percent | 16 000 | 7500 Lumber |
Alliance Help Boost I | 0 to 15 | 16 000 | 5000 Lumber |
March Speed | 1 percent to 1 percent | 16 000 | 5 000 Food |
Although these features require 16 000 resources to complete the upgrade, Alliance members can only donate 5000 of their materials to their Alliance. After donating to a feature, you have to wait 20 minutes before you can make another donation.
It is advisable that you donate resources to your Alliance regularly as you will benefit from the feature which you donated to once it has received enough donations.
For instance, the entire Alliance will benefit from the 1 percent Trap Building Speed increase if members have donated 16 000 lumber.
Alliance Skill
In the Alliance Science menu, you will find the Alliance Skill option at the top of the screen. Players have to reach the Alliance Science requirements to unlock the Alliance Skills.
Unlocked Alliance Skills can only be activated when the Alliance has received enough Donations.
Keep in mind that only 1 Alliance Skill can be activated at a time. Every skill has an activation time, and the skill will enter its cooldown period after the activation time.
Alliance members can donate to an Alliance Skill after its cooldown and get the chance to activate it again.
Which Alliance Skills can players unlock?

Is it mandatory to donate to your Alliance?
Evony players should note that it is not mandatory to donate to their Alliances, however, it is highly recommended.
This is because the entire Alliance will receive buffs and bonuses if the members have donated enough resources to a specific feature.
However, before you donate your resources, you should ensure that you are part of an active Alliance. This means that all Alliance members are actively donating to Alliance Science to receive the bonuses.
