Ono no Imoko is a powerful General in Evony, however, he should only be used as the Duty Officer for the Forge.
Evony: The King’s Return recently announced that players can procure a new Epic Historic General, Ono no Imoko.
He embarked on a great journey across the Eastern Sea as an envoy to the Sui dynasty, tasked with learning about advanced cultures and systems. Once he successfully completed his mission, he returned home with honors.
Similarly to other Generals in Evony, Ono no Imoko has numerous abilities that you can use to progress in Evony:

Ono no Imoko special skill
In addition to the skills mentioned above, Ono no Imoko also has a special skill called Greater Virtue. This ability increases crafting speed and ground troops’ health points by 15%.
Furthermore, it reduces enemy ground troops and mounted troops’ defense and HP by 12% when Ono no Imoko is the Forge Officer.
When you increase his star-rating, you will unlock additional effects for this special skill:

| 3 | When Ono no Imoko is the Forge Officer, in-city ranged troop and siege machine attack, defense and health points are increased by 20%. |
| 5 | As the Forge Officer, he will increase the siege machine attack by 15%. And ranged troop and siege machine attack and health points are increased by 10%. |
Forge Officer
When considering Ono no Imoko’s abilities, you have to assign him to your Forge as the Duty Officer to activate his buffs and bonuses.
The Forge allows Evony players to craft equipment for their Generals, but if you upgrade the building, you will be able to craft improved equipment.
To assign Ono no Imoko to the building, select the Forge within your keep and click on the “Duty” icon. It is worth noting that the Duty option only unlocks once the Forge has reached level 28.
How to acquire Ono no Imoko
Ono no Imoko can provide an array of bonuses to your army, though only if he is in your General Collection.
To procure him, you have to participate in the King’s Party event, in which requires you have to purchase Gems and Packages with real money to increase the level of the cake.
Once the cake reaches level 10, you will earn Historic General (Ono no Imoko), which can be used to unlock Ono no Imoko.
