You can send some of your troops on a scouting mission in Evony before deciding to attack another player on the world map
Evony: The King’s Return is an adventurous video game that invites gamers to assume the role of a lord or lady during medieval times.
It is your responsibility to build a kingdom from scratch, therefore, you have to complete an array of activities to create your empire. One of these activities is Scouting, which can be quite beneficial before a fight.
Evony: Scout
Players should remember that Evony is a multiplayer role-playing video game, meaning that you will progress in the game with gamers worldwide.
As you advance in the game, you can join an Alliance to meet other gamers and you will also get the opportunity to destroy other players’ keeps on the world map.
Before attacking another player’s empire, we recommend that you send some of your troops to the opponent’s keep to view their resources. Sending your troops to another player’s keep is referred to as Scouting in Evony.
To perform a Scout, you have to open the map and search for another player’s empire. Once you find a keep, you can click on it to trigger a pop-up menu.
Players must select the “Scout” option to send out some of their troops and to see if attacking the player is worth it.
How to view Scouting Report
When your Scouts have returned to your keep, you can open your in-game mail, which is in the bottom right corner of the game.
On the left side of the menu you will find a “PvP Reports” tab and if you click on it, you will find a Scout Report.
This report will show you how many resources the other players have in their stores as well as any unclaimed resources that they have. You can then decide if attacking the other player to claim their resources is worth it or not.
How long does Scouting take?
It is possible that you may have to travel a few kilometers from your keep to find another player’s empire. You should note that the further the player’s keep is from your empire, the longer it will take you to Scout.
Therefore, it is advisable that you search the areas surrounding your keep before expanding your search to other areas.
You can scout as many times as you would like to, as there is no limit to the amount of scouts you can perform in a day.
Watchtower
You should remember that other Evony players can scout your keep, just like you can scout theirs.
However, the Watchtower in your empire provides detailed scouting reports and warns you when there are marches moving towards your city.
We therefore recommend that you keep an eye on your Watchtower to remain prepared for when other players attack or scout your keep.
