Evony players can explore Relics, defeat monsters on the world map and spin the Wheel of Fortune to earn Spiritual Beast EXP.
When you reach level 21 in Evony: The King’s Return, you will be able to construct the Pasture. This allows you to foster Spiritual Beasts, which can be equipped to Generals in order to assist them in battle.
There are different Spiritual Beasts that you can unlock, each of which can be upgraded to enhance their capabilities.
To upgrade your Spiritual Beasts, you have to collect Spiritual Beast Experience Points. You will also need Spiritual Beast EXP to increase the level of your Spiritual Beasts to improve their buffs.
Fortunately, there are numerous methods that you can use to obtain Spiritual Beast EXP.
Players can kill boss monsters and event monsters on the world map to obtain Spiritual Beast EXP. Keep in mind that the event monsters are only active for a limited period of time.
Furthermore, you can attack World Bosses with your Alliance to earn Spiritual Beast EXP.
Monarchs can explore Relics, spin the Wheel of Fortune and purchase Spiritual Beast EXP in the Black Market in exchange for Gems.
A Relic is a location that can be found on the World Map and you have to send your troops to its location to explore it.
If you explore a Relic, you will receive an abundance of rewards, but the longer you explore the Relic, the more rewards you will earn. The Wheel of Fortune, on the other hand, can be found by clicking on the Tavern in your empire.
1 spin costs 100 Chips, and 10 spins costs 900 spins. Gamers should note that there is no guarantee that you will receive Spiritual Beast EXP.
How to get a Spiritual Beast
Only players who have constructed the Pasture can unlock Spiritual Beasts. The following table lists the requirements that have to be met to unlock every Spiritual Beast:

As shown in the table, some Spiritual Beasts will unlock when your Pasture reaches a specific level. However, most of the Spiritual Beasts require a special item to unlock, regardless of your Pasture’s level.
Spiritual Beast event
Monarchs can occasionally participate in the Spiritual Beast event, which allows you to obtain Special Items in exchange for Spiritual Beast Scales.
You can procure Spiritual Beast Scales by killing Boss Monsters and Event Monsters during the event period.
However, if you are interested in obtaining additional Spiritual Beast Scales, you can purchase a Spiritual Beast Package which contains Spiritual Beast Scales.
That being said, it is not mandatory that you purchase a package to obtain Spiritual Beast Scales.
If you are a free-to-play player, farming Spiritual Beast Scales may take much longer than simply purchasing a package.
How to enhance your Spiritual Beast
Once you have accumulated enough Spiritual Beast EXP, you can open your Pasture and select the Spiritual Beast that you want to upgrade.
Players have to select the “Level Up” icon before choosing how much Spiritual Beast EXP you want to enhance the Beast with.
When the Spiritual Beast’s XP bar is full, it will be upgraded to the next level. This essentially means that its buffs will be enhanced.
You can also Smelt your Spiritual Beasts, however, this requires Gems, Gold, Medals, Fox Tails and Crimson Crystals.
Every time you Smelt a Spiritual Beast, its quality and buffs will improve.
Which Spiritual Beast should you focus on?
It is worth noting that every Spiritual Beast specializes in a specific troop type. We therefore recommend that you focus on the Spiritual Beast that specializes in the troop type that you use the most.
