What are Generals?
Generals are, essentially, your empire’s leaders. They can control and lead your troops and their marches. Every time you send your troops out to attack enemies, or simply to gather resources, a General accompanies them.
But a General can also be assigned as the Mayor of a Subordinate City, in which case they do not travel with troops.
Instead, they provide benefits to your keep and to the Sub City they are mayor of. Most Generals can be recruited from the Tavern, which is a building in your keep. The Generals in the game are divided into distinct categories determined by their rarities.
However, Generals are also divided into Historic and Non-Historic categories. Historic Generals are based on real-world historical leaders from a range of cultures including Japan, Korea, and Europe. Non-Historic Generals are fictional characters.
Evony: William Wallace
There are currently over 20 Generals for you to acquire and play with in Evony. One of these heroes is William Wallace, who is an Epic Gold General based on the Scottish real-world leader of the same name. Players can recruit him from the Tavern where he is listed under the “Europe” category.
It is worth noting that William Wallace costs approximately 32 000 000 gold. He is also a required General for the art hall, which mostly matters to players who want to complete the Victorious Master set.
William is primarily a siege General, meaning you should definitely use him in your siege troops since he has siege buffs of 102 percent in total when all his specialities reach maximum level. Furthermore, he is one of the best Generals for siege health points and is ranked in second place.
