It is a running event that forms part of the Winter Celebration. It is important to note that it is a limited-time event, which means that you only have 7 days to complete it.
You should remember that this event features various sub events, which include Born of the Snow, Dragonspine Special Training and a mysterious challenge. During the event, you were able to collect parts in order to build your own snowmen.
Many believe that the most difficult phase of the event is to build the fourth snowman, as they do not know where it is situated. You should remember that this snowman is only available for players who have completed the story quest Act 3: A Secret Born from Ashes.
You are able to pick up this quest by heading to Albedo’s Campsite. After you have completed this quest, you should go to the same area where you built the previous snowmen. It is located near the Snow-Covered Path in Dragonspine.
Once you arrive, you will see the last half-built snowman not very far from the previous 3. You are then able to click on the option, “Build a Puffy Snowman” to build the fourth snowman.
How to build a snowman
As mentioned above, you are able to build four different snowmen during the Shadows Amidst Snowstorms event. However, you first have to obtain the required pieces before you can do so. It is important to note that you have to collect the following items:
- Snowman Nose
- Snowman Eyes
- Snowman Scarf
- Snowman Hat
- Snowman Hands
- Snowman Head
When you have obtained all of the parts, you can head back to the snowmen location to interact with a half-built snowman. You can interact with a snowman by selecting the “Build a Puffy Snowman” option.
The snowman will be built after you select the appropriate components. You are then able to select the save button to complete the snowman.
Where to obtain the snowman parts
The components for the Snowmen can be obtained by completing Combat Training and Tracker Training in Dragonspine Special Training. While the hands and nose can be collected by melting the Ice Crystal Piles from the Tracker Training.
It is important to note that the components can sometimes be random. This means that you will not always receive the items that you need.
However, you are able to trade items with your friends to get rid of items that you do not need. This can also be a method for obtaining the items that you need.
Is the event still available?
You should remember that the Shadows Amidst Snowstorms event is no longer available in the game. This is because it commenced on 25 November 2021 and concluded on 13 December 2021. However, many players believe that it will return to the game at the end of 2022.
