In an attempt to motivate gamers who stopped playing Lost Ark to play it again, the developers are planning to relaunch the game in September 2023.
There is something for every gamer in the immense world of Lost Ark. You can choose from diverse advanced classes and swap as you go to change your style of experience.
Unfortunately, there are several players who stopped playing Lost Ark due to several issues, but the game’s developer, Smilegate, recently announced that they are relaunching the game in a sense.
Lost Ark: Relaunch
Smilegate released the third part of their Roadmap 2023 for Lost Ark on Wednesday, 9 August 2023. The Roadmap gives players an idea of what they can expect in the game in the last few months of 2023.
The developers revealed in the Roadmap that over the years, they have conducted focus groups and other feedback mechanisms to understand what could be preventing interested players from giving it another try.
The study found that players stopped playing Lost Ark due to gatekeeping, the daily grind and bots.
In an attempt to motivate gamers who stopped playing Lost Ark to play it again, Smilegate is relaunching the game by introducing new servers.
The relaunch, otherwise referred to as the Jump-Start servers, will be introduced to Lost Ark in September 2023.
Many parts of the game require that other players complete events and activities and by bringing together a group of Jump Starters, Smilegate believes that the early and mid-game will feel livelier. This will also reduce the gatekeeping in raid lobbies.
Jump-start servers
Similarly to normal servers, there will be a Jump-Start server available in every region. Players will receive a South Vern pass to ‘Jump-start’ a character to Item Level 1415 instantly.
These servers will be isolated from other servers, and it will have independent matchmaking, auction houses, party finders and marketplaces.
If you are playing on a Jump-start server, you will receive materials that provide faster vertical and horizontal progression.
You will also receive honing materials and card packs, among other things. Moreover, you will benefit from the ongoing Super Mokoko Express event which commences in August 2023.
Player feedback
Some gamers who stopped playing Lost Ark recently revealed that it is nice that the developers reduced the daily grind, but one player mentioned that he is sure most gamers quit Lost Ark for the same reason.
Allegedly, gamers stopped playing Lost Ark because they do not want to have to play alts to be efficient. Instead, they want 1 character to focus on as they journey through the fictional world.
